"How is Agnes? I ask only out of care and concern."

A nod "her decay has slowed thanks to a generous gift from an Ally. She's holding on longer and stronger. But.. it is just holding on" A sigh "Bougght her replacement time to learn"

He retakes his seat. "That is.. a blessing, of a sort. Her spirits?"

"resolved. She is seeing her duty through for as long as she can"

"Of course." he murmurs.

"Well, that's what keeps trolls going"

"Like bunnies." he agrees gravely.... with a twinkle.

A chuckle frrromm Emmit

"And how are June Maude's children when last you saw them?"

"thriving. " A smile

"Have you seen recent pictures of April or May's?" he nods to Callidora.

"no.. let's see them please" A smile

"Oh, here we go " And CC will go on for awhile

Emerson keeps the food and drink flowing.

And the talk turns to young ones

Emerson lets it turn and roll on.

Afte a time, Emmit rises "forgive me, bu I really should had o home. Damned fine scotch. Great company"

"Care for company on your stroll, or are you going to use an Art?" Emerson stands as well, with a smile.

CC gives him a hug

"oh I'll just take a firnost trod"

"Not for the first time, I'm sure." Emerson sounds amused. "Safe journey, then." He offers a hand, and gets the door.

Hand shake, and... the troll parts

CC laughs "Oils. nice touch"

He chortles at the memory. "Well, it's -plausible- you might use some carnal aspect to join your Gift and his Art to create the effect you seek, Dearest...."

"I know, if he'd go for it I'd be tempted." A smile "But I suppose it's best this way"

"I thought you'd do the negotating as well." A smile "Didn't want to, or just wanted to let me have at?"

"Who says I didn't negotiate?"

"Well, that you did now that i think about it...just very soft touch" she says after thinking about it

A smile as he approaches her "Let's agree, Dearest, that if we are both present, all eyes are on you. Thus, a soft touch can work wonders and is apt."

She pulls him towards her "Flatterer, but thank you. Emmit seems intrigued by the project more than he lets on. While the DeBukes are opening up to the nobles more than WE would like perhaps, the man knows it's always best to know where the guns are kept if a guest becomes an invader. Besides, as a powerful sorcerer he probably likes stretching himself now and then"

"Mmm." he agrees "Do you fancy him?" without the slightest bit of jealousy. Curiosity, perhaps.

"mmm" She gives it honest thought "I like him. And he's a man of power- that does have an allure but honestly I've met trolls I'd prefer."

He nods. "Fairly said. Up to you, of course."

"Do you fancy him?" She winks "Or fancy me with him?"

That startles a laugh out of him. "No, my tastes don't run to men, or trolls, as a rule Dearest. As you know. I do, however, enjoy your pleasure and glory. If you fancied him, I would support that."

"I know you would" She gives him a kiss "you're my one eyed dark angel. "

"You are the one and -only- person who would ever refer to me so." he assures her.

"That's because I know you" she strokes the side of his face "I know you better than you know yourself some days. And, Pan help me, you know me more than any man ever has."

He tsks. "Not a safe situation, Dearest." he takes her hand.

"Well, fortunately I like a little danger" She smiles as her hand is taken

He singles out and kisses each finger tip individually. "So. I. Have. Noticed."

She purrs "Between this and the excellent snacks and scotch, you're making promises" she does not disapprove of them, mind you

"What would you care for, then? Some public act of passion shared? Invite some lucky stranger to join our entanglement? Seek out some threatening geography upon which to risk ourselves? Play more dangerous physical games?"

"Threatening geography? What, make love on a rail road track and hope the 7:15 doesn't come in early?" A smile

"Mmm." He agrees with another fingertip kiss. "A cliff." Kiss "Ice flow. Rapidly rising water."

"Oh baby, bonus points if you tie me up and wear a top hat" SHe MIGHT be joking, but her eyes do gleam with interest

"And nothing else?" he chuckles, continuing his attentions to her digits.
