Caesar holds his mom close as they both have a good cry. Emerson gave them a bit of time alone, but had an ear out if it got bad...

coming in on mother and son huggin and crying, well, that's not so bad

Not at all. And, he comes carrying a tray with a bottle of a favorite brown alcohol and three glasses.

"Mom, of COURSE I'm gonna worry, I love you, but you shouldn't cut people off at times like this... so thank you for telling me" He says, when he wants to ask why she didn't much earlier.

William moves silently, pouring and serving.

"Thanks honey" CC says to William as it's served , "Could use one"

"Yeah, thank's Bill" Caesar says "Mom tells me you told her she should let me know. I owe you. I want you both to know if you need any finacial help or anything with this, I'm there"

"Not Bill, please." he requests smoothly, as smooth as the whiskey. "And thank you."

"Right, sorry, " he says, "Got caught up in this "

"You could call him lovekraken" CC says "That's the name I use"

Caesar laughs despite the grim tidings "I think he and I will prefer I don't "

"Hear hear." William seconds with fraternity.

If there is room, he will sit with them.

There is, and they all three sit down near each other, Willaim on one side of CC, her son on the other, and she seems to want it that way, "We have a few options, one of them very experimental and magical. I'd really like to keep my set, call it vanity"

Caesar bites his lip "Mom, whatever gives you the best chance of LIVING would be my thought" A look to EBG

He nods. "Living, yes. And happy." he takes her hand "I am greedy in this regard; I want both."

"Damn straight" Caesar nods

"You're both wonderful. I think the experimental aspect is chancy but worth it. We'll see how it goes. I've been reading on naked mole rats"

"Uh..what now?" Caesar blinks

William sighs, and as CC explains he interjects his own concerns as they arise. They are practiced at this style of converstion.

Caesar listens, then finally "Mom? I know Elder form is..different from the metamorphisis I use, but that's.. uhm nuts"

"It is not nuts" She huffs

"Compared to the alternatives, I'm willing to give nuts a try." William says mildly "Although, it is not my decision." His hand squeezes CC's.

"I need your support too, Caesar" She looks at her son with wet eyes even as she squeezes William's hand

"Of course, Mom. I may think it's nuts, but.. I love you and I'll support this"

"Thank you." softly.

"I .. I don't like keeping secrets from April" He adds "But if you need me to..."

"Let me think about it" CC says

The boggan nods, understanding both approaches.

"SUre sure.. so is this going to cut down the club entertainment much? I know that's important to you" He says

"There's an idea, Callidora... The Singing Mole Rat Cabaret. Could be quite a draw...." he says, dryly amused.

"Naked would, of course, be equally a draw."

A light poke

Caesar laughs "Squeaky ultra soprano?"

"Yes, but, tastefully nude." he points out, taking his poking.

"You two are impossible" SHe huffs "And I"d like to keep the club open, WIlliam can manage it... and we can find some back up talent."

"None so good, our quality will suffer, but needs must."

"I think, one option, might be to allow an amateur night" She explains "Let folks come up and give it a try. A prize for the winner. Folks won't EXPECT talent, and we could have it appear to surprise us?"

"An excellent idea, Dearest, yes."

"I'm all for helping folks out and up" Caesar nods

"Thank you both" She says "I'll get the promotionals going"

"On that note, Dearest, do you have a timeline? I know things have been unsettled at the Farmhold but..... "

"Have you met with Clem?" gently, with meaning.

"I have, but Agnes retirement is gaining steam and it makes it harder to judge. Also, Clem seems... upset by something else, distracted. "

The boggan huffs.

"I don't think it'll hurt her focus at healing" She adds

"Better not" Caesar says

"The timing with Agnes is to be bitterly regretted, of course. Are you saying that Clem is so distracted by it that she is useless? I had thought her made of stronger stuff."

"As I said, I don't think it will hurt her focus at headling"CC repeats "So she's not useless"

"Have you -met- with her? Regarding how this will work? And our concerns?" she may recall his letter to Clem.
