"Well, I'm in, obviously," Brenda declares, riled

"It's dangerous, Brenda..." CC tells her

"You told me that... but this namer.. he's toxic. And he.. it's not just about my son"

CC looks to Emerson, "Honey, two drinks, please?"

"Of course." he murmurs, and moves off to prepare a tray. His native sense of personalities and preferrences let him gauge what kind of drink would be welcome.

Coffee with a tiny touch of the Irish he suspects

A cloud of whipped cream rarely goes amiss.....

He prepares the drinks and brings not two, but three, over. He doesn't join the ladies but sips his off to the side. Unless invited.

He is perfectly fine being seen in a service mode.

He is invited, by Brenda "Emerson? Your kith.. pardon the stereotype, they're.. they're kind and insightful. Am I nuts or does someone need to take action against continued corruption by those in power? CC's trying to discourage me but I feel like i have to try"

CC's 'discouragement' is a master class in luring so far

He does join them, sitting near CC. "I am loath to assume the worst in people. The greatest of the stories that give life to our Dreams include a struggle against corruption, though. There's a recent set of novels, a genre really, dealing with just that idea."

"Namers, if I understand the rumors correctly, are supposed to have a failsafe to protect them from corruption. Or, at the least, to check them when it occurs."

"Well, what failsafe is in effect?" Brenda asks, a bit of a sniff in her voice but she is not directing scorn towards Emerson but the notion "Because I sure didn't see it."

Oh, no, the rumors don't detail -that-. The power of the Art is too great to share information on how it might be constrained."

"So, this a ..the police have investigated the video tape of thier own brutality and found no wrong doing kind of thing?" Brenda's sniff turns into a snort

A helpless shrug from the old man.

"I suppose it's possible that, if it could be proved there were errors in judgement in one area it could be suggested there were errors in other areas."

"Lovely.." Brenda rubs her forheead, she has an imrpessive horn size for a female satyr.. normally it's the fellows that really boom. "SO ...this guy just keeps screwing with names and lives"

"What else can be done?"

"We stop him... we find someone with a plan," Brenda says "And we set the son of a bitch up somehow"

A glance at CC.

CC returns it, soft nod

"Brenda, I cannot imagine the pain you must be in; you have my deepest sympathies. As CC said, what you are suggesting is dangerous."

"I... so ..yes? Dangerous, but not impossible right? Look you two could help me do it right. You're experienced. You know things. I won't even be wearing my own face"

"I... might have some materials that could help you." he agrees "If the Namer's failsafe system is not working, it is a threat to all Fae society."

Reluctant, but the writing is on the wall, isn't it?

CC looks at Emerson "Well, if you think so, then I guess Brenda's right" Almost reluctant

"But Brenda, to do this you... you may have to make effort to abandon some notions..." CC adds "Honor ... honor can get you killed in this case"

Brenda raises a brow "You mean.. get in touch with my unseelie side" She's not dim

"Tis the season." he mutters uncomfortably; something is clearly concerning him.

"That.. uhmm when I go unseelie I..it's not getting shameless I latch onto... powerful figures" Brenda blushes

Emerson almost squirms in his seat, and looks at CC.

"You'd think you'd be vulnerable to a sidhe's manipualations?" CC asks

"I Hope not, I mean.. but when there's no alternative..." Brenda gulps

"You... might benefit from someone like-minded at your side. To keep you focused."

"Mmm" Brenda smirks a bit "Like a swim buddy?"

CC chuckles "Good to see your humor isn't gone, but yes, something like that"

"Someone to keep your head above water, yes. Do you have anyone in mind?"

"Not... really" Brenda admits

A glance at CC.

CC looks back at HIM

"Perhaps we can help find someone....."

"Brenda, excuse us, please" CC takes him and pulls him aside and whispers "Waht do you think?"

"I think it is interesting she did not suggest her husband; I believe he is a liability but...."

"If I go, it cannot be as myself. I will need your Arts to disguise me. I -can- be strong for her, though."

"I wondered Mmm .. another boggan or a pooka or.."

"No one I can trust."

He nods. "Then it will have to be me. You'll disguise me?"
