"I suppose that is better," A troubled look then she finishes her meal "Thank you for the meal, sir, but I should get back to spying on my friends"

her whisper turns conspiratal "Honestly, without sluagh to watch out for people they'd be lost most times"

"Pardon, just... a moment more.... may I ask a personal question? I realize it is gauch."

"we sluagh are used to enduring such, within reason" SHe nods

"We've spoken of your parent's best interests, and concerns.... what of yours?" gently "You are, as you've said, a childling. Even old-souls, when new to this world, might struggle and strain. How are -you- getting on, my dear?"

She ponders "That is a touch familiar, yes, but I shall allow it" Clearly miming an indulgent older sluagh role model "I am well, save for concerns about my parents, I am quite well. I find being a sluagh suits me. I have friends who I visit at MY discretion, and recently got myself a rather lovely toy. I hope to wield the powers of darkness and fear with aplomb"

"I am sure you will. So, your brother's 'death' as you put it, his... departure from this world.... troubles you not at all."

"I love my brother, even though he never seemed to listen to anyone" She sighs at that, then smiles toothlessly "But it doesn't trouble me. He's either gone to a better place with hsi lady, and he's happy, or he's coming back and I'll see him again. I don't losing ,so I look at ways to win"

"I am very glad you think so. You do not seem a bad sort," A pause "But I do not trust you. Please don't be offended. There's a lot of very fine and intelligent people I dont' trust"

CC comes in a bit later "How did it go?"

"Mmph." His brown liquid in a teacup has been exchanged for brown liquid in a highball glass.

"She wishes to de-escalate her parents, distract them and allow her late, unlamented brother's memory fade."

"That's.. a bit morbid but I suppose for a sluagh.." Still she wrinkes her nose

"She believes her parent's kiths are not suited to prolonged rage. She is a sheltered thing, isn't she?"

"Mmm well, satyrs DO tend to pass emotions quickly but.. normally it requires some sort of sating."

A wry look. "She's going to try poetry, I think."

"Well, while you were with the daguhter I cast an omen on the mother. I know her Unseelie side"

"Care to share?" he stands and goes to pour her a drink, as well.

"YOu maybe dissapoiinted. Or not.." She answers and takes the drink offered, "Darling, she longs to serve someone one. She's a natural born lackey. Startled me really, but it explains why she's not doing more to fight on her own initiative. Her unseelie side wants to be directed, used, and to a large degree praised"

"A part of her wants to serve, bit a king or a crime boss, or.. a rebel leader..."

A DEEP SIGH, and mournful eyes.

"I see. Pity."

"Details on that thought?"

"Oh, it would have been fun. That's all. A perfect storm." He drinks.

"It gets worse, or better depending how you take things..."

He drinks again. "Go ahead."

"She knows enough metamorphisis to appear like a completely different person. In short, she can look like a 21 year old beach bunny one moment, or a 60 year old man stoopped over. It's like fate is teasing, isn't it?"

He nods sadly. "Yes. Yes it is."

"WIth our luck, her husband's winter side is a criminal mastermind" She takes a drink

"Mmph."

She grumbles too... seeming really vexed. Like she's been denied something that's hers.

And Emerson may realize his dear lovely is heading into Autumn early

He eyes her over his glass for a moment.

Oh yes. She'll be shifting to the red dress early he gathers, "Drat. I hate the idea of losing such..."

"As do I, Dearest, but what are we to do?"

"I think, maybe, what if we helped dear sweet Brenda construct a new persona? The lacky she craves to be, but more in line iwth our views? Kyle might take more work"

"To what end, Dearest?" curious.

"I.. don't know.." SHe huffs "I just know this is... it's like being asked to return a gemstone because it's the wrong color but there's plenty of room in my jewelry box"

"A diamond in the rough, indeed! I -ache- because of it! Wronged by Rivervale and this EarthRunes place, their son torn from them, their rage is justified. They -should- be angry, and they -should- have vengeance!!"

She paces... "How to best get them their vengeance? what would suffice? "

"And will Kyle get in the way?" A humph

"He must be persuaded not to." William says calmly. "You should have a heart to hear with Brenda, if you have not already, and find out what would satisfy her."

"I suppose that's on the to do list. Should I push her towards her unseelie? Honor does get in the way"
