He pauses thoughfully. "It -does- occur, Dearest, that it might be better to guide than to allow friendly-fire......"

"How so?" She leans agianst him

"Based on my experience, if I were to have to wager, I would say that Brenda -will- take action against those who have wronged her, and her family. I have seen the hate in her eyes too often to mistake it. Kyle may be a mitigating influence, true. But she -will- act. Is it not better to direct her energy, than abandon it?"

A frown, "What about this Bondroste? Apparently their son's grandmother? Fiona elder"

"What about her?" he scoffs "I've heard the name."

"Sounds like another influence and a pro noble one.. one Brenda actually thinks fondly of"

"Enough to calm the hate in a satyr mother's heart?"

"Callidora. If it had been Caesar......"

"You know exactly how far I went for Caesar" She mmphs "Yes, point made. And there's kyle. There's a cunning mind under there, but he looks like a man who got beaten down and has stayed in that position. I'm sure the lodge or whoever never actually did that, but his protective nature had turned to a new method"

"I'm not sure about your assumption he was never beaten down, emotionally or mentally anyway. How must he, as a troll, feel wondering if he has failed his chosen son?"

He sips his drink, one arm still around her.

"If -we- are not to make use of the Thomas's anger, perhaps another might. We could make it one of our choosing, or let them find thier way on thier own." He makes his point.

"You know, sometimes, I get irked at how well you think ahead' A huff "Yes, I think I'll guide them a bit or We can, but let's not make them killers. I want them to have a path back"

"Mm. Even killers are not without redemption, but as you say,Dearest."

"This I know, and you're right. I've done it myself and look at me, an angel" A kiss on his cheek "Slightly tarnished halo"

"Delightfully so." he kisses her.

"So, how and where will you guide them?" Sip "And, is Miss Lily included?"

"Miss Lily seems to liike the lodge and folks at ER both, that's.. tricky. A sluagh child is still a sluagh. THere's a reason we didn't take Kitten under our wing"

"I like to think we had some influence there." he protests.

"MUCH" A kiss on hsi cheek, "You kept her from falling into that noblity worship. I Shudder to think what would have happened to her if some Eiluned Spinster had gotten her hooks into her when she was young and vulnerable"

"Perish the thought."he murmurs.

"I see your point, but I can't help but worry if we let lily in we're going to get our secrets sold to the highest bidder at the lodge or Earth runes"

"While Miss Lily may like both Lodge and EarthRunes, her family is family. Thier attitudes and interests will be hers, as she is still a childling. Were she a wilder, perhaps she would rebel but.... even if she does not take part, she will be influenced."

"Mmm " A fair point

"That said, she might as well be invited."

"I suppose if we don't let her in she'll sneak in" Wryly

"Just so. After the loss of her brother, her parents are all she has for family. As a wilder she'll turn to other sluagh; best that she have her eyes opened by that time."

"So, how will you do it?" he snuggles in for story time.

"How will I do it?" A laugh "Oh my, do I detect a touch of voyeruerism?"

"More than just a touch, I hope! I do love watching you work, in any arena." he smirks "

"I bear no malice against either Earth runes or Rivervale, and the latter wouldn't be fair. I think, the way to sway them, is to show them a hold that has more obvious abuses regarding young fledges."

A frown. "Such as?"

"I do hold a dislike of Balor at times, and they're currently hemmed in"

"Mmmm. Poke the Snake?"

"I know, cold iron makes it dangerous"

"You, yourself, will not be involved?"

"I have to be to educate them" she declares

He squirms, disliking the way this is going. "Dearest....."

"What about Leanhuan?"

"They can be dangerous too, dear.." A look "Are you trying to protect me?" Flattered

"Yes, of course, always." he blinks.

She ponders making an infectious troll comment but forbears. He might get all grumbleboggan, instead she smiles "You think I should aim for safer fruit?"

"If I thought it would do any good; you have an addiction to the forbidden fruit." he faux-grumbles "One of the many delightful things about you."

"Well, you are my favorite wrinkly pear" A wink

He snorts with laughter.

And subsides with a sigh "Do you have a particular target in mind?"

"A small hold, full of soldier childlings, some trained as assasins"

"You would set them on childlings?" he is surprised.

"No, to observe, to see what is being DONE..."

"Well, they have first-hand knowledge but let's say yes.... what then? What will you channel thier energy towards?"
