The meal was wonderful!

"Ahhh....."he wipes his mouth and leans back in his chair, sipping his sake. "So satisfying."

"I understand it's tradition in Japan to eat one before a big test" She too looks happy with the meal

Eyebrow. "Big test?"

"Oh I don't think we have one, but for japanese students I hear" She says

"Ah." he chuckles "I thought I was slipping, had missed something."

A grin "No surprises being sprung on you. I know how you feel about that." She sighs "I still remember the reaction to the singing telegram"

"I was startled."mildly defensive. "I assure they, they don't remember a thing about it."

"They're lucky they didn't lose a year" A smile though amused

"Or an ear." he points out.

"Or an ear. I'll remember" She makes a faux promise "Oh, I've distracted Caesar a bit, COVID Vacination drive is underway"

Another eyebrow. "Is -that- what you've been orchestrating?"

"One of them, and still safer than surprising you with a singing telegram" She dimples

"Hmmph."

"Dearest, do you actually have access to doses?" some surprise, and worry.

"No more like funding for trips to the hospital and funding for distribution, ect. "

"Wonderful!" he seems pleased and even enthusiastic. "An inventive way of both helping, and distracting Caesar."

"So far he's all behind it" She looks relieved "It may mean I end up baby sitting some. The trial of it"

A bark of laughter. "Such a burden."

"Well, sometimes it seems to drive you off and I worry"

"Well, miss you. Bu I promised not ot abuse you"

He regards her. "I will be here. Assist, if needed." an offer and agreement.

"Fair, and your study and bedroom are off limits to anyone younger than 18 so you have two places to retreat to"

(His bedroom is now the nursery.)

"Nonsense."

"Oh Bill" SHe says

A blink. "Unaccostomed to that name these days....."

"I mean it fondly, you're so sweet." She kissses him

"Mmm....." he sits up for the kiss, returning it and putting his hand on hers.

"How long do you imagine it will be till the Pert Chit begins to suffer?"

"She's already rubbing at her hands in confusion" A smile "It'll pass at midnight. "

"Such a short time?" a bit disappointed.

"Oh it will get more and more constant each day, longer and longer. I's got to feel like she's aging years every night"

"Delightful! How long will you keep her thus?"

"Well, once her flesh turns wrinkley, her hair goes gray, and She feels like she can barely take three steps she feels frail as a twig... I think I'll arrange to offer her my seat at the bench and ccall her 'ma'am'"

A Long, jolly laugh. "She will WEEP!"

"Will you reveal your work, restore her, or leave her thus?"

"I have a mean streak" She admits "Oh I'll restore her. Not sure I'll let her know it was me, but I bet she's a LOT Kinder to grumps after that"

"Which was just the point."

"Yes. Also I'm a vinbitchtive thing"

"As well as beautiful, vivacious, alluring, talented, at time absolutely hypnotic, inventive....."

Pleased look 'Stop... stop.. wait.. no go on"

"ooo" A pleased look "Well, if you're trying to seduce me it's working"

He takes her hand up and kisses the knuckles, then the inside of her wrist. "Will you tell me stories of the wrongs you have righted, the injustices you have championed, the innocents you have corrupted?"

"There are SO many of those stories" She warns "Not sure we'd have the time, but, maybe one or two"

"Mmmmm.... bedtime stories?" a twinkle in his eye.

"Let's go 'tuck' each other in" She motions him tto follow her to the boudair

"Sorry, was that a 't' or an 'f'?" He asks with a leer, but he follows her bravely enough.
