William chucks a peanut at a squirrel.

The squirrel takes the peanut, and grabs it and takes it away.

And another, as he watches the joggers.

CC takes the jibes, then fuels the spell with them at least that's what he suspects. The wilder might be ready if an angry grump cast something on her NOW but, the idea it's already been cast? never would sink in

He smiles.

then CC starts to let go

"Gonna take a nap?" the wilder says

"Oh, I'll sleep the sleep of the righteous, darling. I always do" And CC stops jogging and walks close to Emerson

Who rises and casually carries his paper bag with him, wandering with a slight limp away from the bench in the general direction CC is going. He declined her offer of magic to change his appearance. He used physical means to do it, with success!

She and he end up in the same area , each in their own path, and when they are alone together she says "Seems to be settling in."

"Excellent." he murmurs "How are you feeling?"

"oh, she got a dig in, but that's just fuel to the payback machine. " A smile "really, she's too young to know what bad things I can do to her"

"Perhaps she will be granted time to learn."

"Oh time is one thing she'll fear she's suddenly losing. But yes, just a scare"

He chuckles. "As I said. A learning experience."

"Now, I'm feeling chipper. So.. what should I cook you today?"

"Dried aged beef?" he smirks.

A swat on his rump "If you'd said goat meat you'd really be in trouble"

He chuckles, and offers his arm. The peanuts get spilled on the ground, for the taking. "Hm. How adventurous are you feeling?"

"Fearless" She says as the bushy tailed tree rats swarm the fallen peanuts

"Shall we assay Japanese cuisine together?" a challenging eyebrow.

"Oh you're on" She says

"Ooo..." he likes a challenge, clearly. "Seafood? Ramen or Soba? Katsudon? What tickles your fancy?"

"You know, I can't remember the last time that Katsudon and I... yes, let's try that" And off they go
