Another day, another job... the wilder girl is looking a bit alarmed as she finds herself looking into a reflective pool and imagining she sees crows feet around her eyes.

Then she shakes her head , and keeps jogging, past a boggan feeding the squirrels

He smiles blandly as she passes.

Oh her pacing is a bit off.. she has trouble finding herself in the zone.

and a keen eyed (Just tone, but it is a keen one) boggan mgiht notice the gray hair

just a single gray hair. but oh won't she make a fuss of it

He cracks a shell between his fingers and flips the whole thing towards the tree rats.

By now he's gotten to know the squirels. Chitterjowl is a bit of a bully, bigger and louder than the others and will get his share and maybe another's share too. Fluffzoom however is the fastest and Chitterjowl can fuss all he wants.. if Fluffzoom gets to it first, it's all hers.

William appreciates them both for different reasons, but isn't above tossing peanuts to those on the outskirts, who can't compete with these dominant squirrels.

Then there's one old fellow William rather likes, an older squireel who uses cunning where strength and speed are fading. Old Gus. Who is not above acting like he's found a nut in order to get a real prize while others squabble over what turned to be an empty shell. Old Gus catches one on the outskirt and gives the boggan a wink

William squints his eye at the ... tree rat?

Alas before he can Ken, CC shoots by throwing him off as she whispers "She's in a panic. Today might be the day I run by her just for evil giggles."

A blink, concentration broken, but he can't be upset by it. "Love it...." he mutters as she goes past.

Ol Gus appears to be gone from view

Sure enough the wilder comes around again, and CC hot on her tail, and slowly but steadily catching up.

The old boggan crinkles a grin at the girl and waves.... fondly?

Well, friendly anyway. Peer-to-peer. Old people need love too.

She shudders, furhter slowing her stride and CC shoots by

"Hey hey, girlfriend, keep on going" CC advises, "We don't have to go gently into that good night"

And the Wilder's eyes widen, her nostrils snort and she starts to run again unaware that the cantrip in her shoes is still doing her dirty

More peanuts.

And soon, CC acts bored, and breaks off...

Ah me, the winter sun is weak but wonderful on these old bones... time to move a bit.... The boggan rises and wanders off, trailing peanuts behind him.

Old Gus snitches a few, and winks again, and again hops out of sight before there's time of kenning. A coincidence surely

No damn such thing..... he thinks sourly while maintaining a doddering expression and wandering aimlessly (not so aimlessly) away.

CC does catch him, but it takes longer "oh there you are. You were harder to find today. Are you okay?"

"Mmm." absently "Harder to find? For you?"

"for me a bit but I guess I was distracted myself doing victory laps. did you see the panic of her eyes?"

He can't help a chortle. "I did. I have to say, she is not aging like fine wine but I do enjoy flirting a bit."

"She'd be lucky to have you" A kiss , brief but sincere

"Oh, I'm only flirting to horrify her."

A chuckle of her own "Yes, and I can tell you loved it."

His grin is less senile and more wicked. "Mm. Yes."

"Oh why am I drawn to bad men?"

"Because those bad men are unbelievably lucky."

"Mmmm they are." A grin "Now, later today she'll probably find a few gray hairs. Did you see one?"

"I did. She needs a rat's nest of them, Dearest."

"Rat's nest, I like the metaphor. Yes, texture of hair is very important"

"Your own is glossy, thick, and glorious. I love the feel of it on my skin."

"Thank you" She says flattered "I try to take care of it .. only the best shampoos with real organic nutriennts"

"Like silk." he assures her.

"I like the way your hands feel on it"

"Mmm. Soon." he promises easily.

"Tell me love, theme nights for the club. You mentioned some."

"Oh, dreaming of time to come I think." a sigh "Period theme nights. Regency is popular just now. Perhaps a Venetian carnival, a Greek night...."

"Surprised you didn't push for a French revolution night" wryly

"May we??"

"Why darling, I adore Les Mes. We can do a Les Mes themed routine if you want.." An offer

"Yes! Oh, that would be wonderful. Combine revolution and music."
