"I suppose......" reluctant to release a carefully fostered snit.

He sips. "Yes.... but Caesar. He's going to get involved with a nobel, offer her part of what he is building."

"I know" She sighs "But .. if nothing else, it will help some commoners"

"Hmmph. You think he will not rent to nobles?"

"I think he might" She concedes "Maybe I'll push for him to give it to the 'needy'"

A sigh. "He'll ask questions."

"Of course he will, and you think I won't have a whole menu of answers? You're talking to the woman who convinced him that satyrs who wouldn't eat their veggies ended up with small horns"

A smirk "He suspects far more than you think, Dearest. The apple doesn't fall far."

"Darn it. He's gotten clever" but depsite her comments, maternal pride beams then she sighs "Not clever enough I suppose to be more cautious about nobles."

"Well, how much does he know about the past you hid from him?" reasonably.

"By now, a lot more than I ever wanted him to" She admits

"But does he know about that bastard that sought to take him from you?"

She frowns "he knows we had to keep moving.. and I'm sure he knows it was a noble"

"And still he engages with them." A sigh.

"he doesn't see the problem as systematic"

"Perhaps you should have travelled -more.-"

"I tried to avoid nobles, maybe i was too good at it" A hurumph

"You did what you needed to." Comforting. He sips.

"Yes, perhaps I shhould have been more ..direct about the whys though" She considers "At least April as a DeBuke has some caution drilled in her"

"An excellent influence."" he agrees.

"I am getting fond of that young woman" A smile "And, rumor has it May Maude at least is now fully commited to your world view?"

"Mmm...." the thought brings a smile to his lips. "She shows some promise."

"You polished that rough stone, mister 'whats the point'" A reminder

"Yes,yes....."

"mmm hmm" Admiration "And my man doubts his success rate"

"I am worried for Caesar, in particular." He admits.

"I worry some too" She admits "I worry he'll end up manipualted"

"....and not by us."

She makes a face at him

An amused chuff.

"Yes. Good news is he still lives HERE... in a relatively non monarchist zone"

"Well, his -base- is here."

"Yes yes, he does travel, mostly for wrestlilng.. or to the farm"

"And his further flung landlordships."

"Yes. Well. true. What do you think I should do about it?"

A sigh. "I don't know there is anything to be done."

"You cannot -make- him abandon his plans."

"I know.." mmm "I wonder if I can encourage him to focus on other areas"

"Such as?"

"Oh different locales.."

"Continue to develop real estates, though?" a grumble "One would think the wrestling would be enough....."

"Oh I don't know...I.." Realization "oh you sweet sweet man."

"Mmph." sip.

He glances away, not meeting her eyes.

"No. I mean, He still loves wrestling. Why not push him to do a big event for charity there?"

"Draw attention to the place?"

"Sorry, I didn't mean there geographically..i mean, why not have him do it for that activity... the charity would be for other things"

"I suppose..... a housing fund of some sort wouldn't be too out of place in the current environment."
