"I swear to god, I don't think that was me" CC protests as she looks over the news of Samhain fall out.

Or so the paper says

"Though they do have a sale on velvet lined cuffs"

"Do we need another set?" Looking up from the rest of the paper with an eyebrow.

"No I suppose not" She says with a blush, not at the use of cuffs, of course, but at her tendency to enjoy shopping for it's own sake when it's not needed . As it stands I... " the Club is empty for the moment, there are fewer shows and limited hours, but CC seem to be fine as long as she gets to perform now and then.

But the knock on the door even though it's closed might raise eyebrows

Or cause them to frown.

"who on earth?" CC says , and almost forgets to get her mask

"Callidora.... allow me." He rises and puts the mask on, going to look first.

It's Caesar, his own mask on "Hi"

Emerson opens the door immediately. "Come in, come in....." and he locks up.

Caesar comes in "I'm sorry I didn't call. Charge went out in the phone."

"Perfectly fine, my boy. Callidora it's Caesar."

"Caesar!" CC moves with the speed of a proud mom and hugs her son

He hugs back and smiles "Good to see you, mom . Sorry I haven't been around. Between the kids and the job and the real estate"

Emerson goes to fetch refreshments.

"Oh yes, the wrestling circuit.. how is it going?"

"Well, busy enough and it pays the bills but without a live audiance" he sighs "it's hollow"

Quickly he is back with a tray of food and drink.

"Here we are...."

"I hear that," CC says and kisses her Boggan in thanks, "My love kraken is keeping me sane in this time of Covid"

"Thanks, Emerson" Caesar knnows that's not his only name but uses it as a default "How are you doing, by the way?"

He chuckles at CC's comment and says "Oh well enough, well enough. I will leave you two to chat."

"Oh now, don't do that" Caesar says "I promise only to talk about the kids a little"

"You better talk more about them than a LITTLE" Scowly grandmother

"Are you certain I won't intrude?"

"Come on, Pop Pop, you're always welcome" Caesar grins

CC chuckles "You know that's not his favorite title"

Caears says "It's NOT?" Faux surprise, then a wink

"Hmphm."

"The seven are a handful, I can tell you that" SPeaking of the kids. "The DeBukes are kind of swamped at the farm... that school they've put up next door is got them scrambling"

"Oh yes, the school? I heard about that but we've been out" CC says

This maybe the first EBG has heard of it

"Two handfuls." He points out of the children, and listens.

"Sometimes more" he concedes. "And yeah, the school is an area I'm trying to avoid. I'd be a distraction. "

CC says "The DeBukes have that many kids?"

"Oh no, it's teenagers and younger from all over. Rivervale, Earth Runes, some hold in Chicago "

"All sorts of kiths, not just trolls and troll kin"

"-All- sorts of kiths?"

"Oh sure..though the sidhe kids have a hard time of it i hear"

He gives Callidora a look.

CC winces

"Well, sure, it's a chance to introduce sidhe young to modernist thought.. while allowing the DeBukes to get used to the idea not all sidhe are bad" Caesar says

"What a delightful idea."

"CHarming" CC says "now, about the grandkids" She changes the subject

Emerson listens patiently, even attentively; never know what tidbits you'll pick up.

Well, the kids are coming along as you might expect. All seveen of them. Already Cooper knows he's out numbered

And the chatter goes well. Caesar also came to discuss Thanksgiving plans "So all of us seem a LOT to handle..."

"So we were thinking the farm might be easier on you, and of course, the other grand mom, Maude says it's NO trouble"
