CC may have surprised her lover, by wearing the traditional witch outfit, black garb, conical hat.

At least, that's what she said- seems a bit dimmed compared to she devils and high priestesses.

And yet the voile of it looks like fog and night shadows swirling amid the threads. The amount of cleavage is ..impressive.

And for his part, ever seeking to be a partner to her, William is dressed and made up.... as a toad.

She giggles when she sees the result.

A smiling toad, in this case.

He croaks.

"Oh baby, let's go feed the beasts" SHe moves to the stage. Even as the mists' ready to roll in. The crowd whistles and hoots, bolder by thier own masks

"One moment....." He takes her hand and leads her aside, into the mirror image of the Club where the Balefire delights in the evening's change.

"I am about to sing, honey... the crows? "But she goes.

"I apologize. It won't take a moment." At the Balefire, he keeps her hand in his and takes an envelope from an interior pocket. He watches the 'Fire for a moment, then adds the envelope to the flames, which consume it.

She watches attentively "I do one performance, bespell the crowd and then we can... oh..." Curious

"There." He turns to her. "What shall we do with the crowd, then?"

She lowers her eyes "The envelope. The names of those you lost on it?"

"No." Gently. Then he sighs. "You've seen me do this, in year's past?"

"Ah.. yes. Pardon.. the mists are only now coming in again"

He nods. Taking a breath, he struggles with himself and finally admits "I write to her."

A kiss on his cheek "I'm sure somewhere she appreciates it"

A tense smile. "Thank you. Now, let us go appease the crowd that hungers for you."

"Yes... if you're sure? I can substitute if you want to make tonight fully a night of remembrance." SHe is offering to give up her fun to share with him old sorrows

"No." A squeeze. "I have included news of you in my letters over the years. She knows where I will be."

"I hope you sent my thanks for helping shape you into the amazing man you are" A kiss, "If not, tell her next year"

He nods. "I will."

"Then Let's go... I have to decide whether to have them all think they're workiing for a 1930s mob boss or just infuse them with a hatred of a authority for several days"

"Oooo...." He is pleased with both ideas, and happily-hoppily follows her.

"Preferences ?" She asks swaying

"I think.... the hatred of authority. Longer-term effects."

"Somehow I figured... hang back, lover... I'm going to cut loose."

He kisses her hand, and then goes out into the audience to enjoy.

to wolf whistles and cat calls... she strode up onto the stage.

"I put a spell on you
'Cause you're mine" She purrs softly.

No, I ain't lyin...." A finger wag , her voice carrying over them as she uses the song for a bunk.

Yeah, Yeah" Leaning down to the audience to meet as many gazes as she can.

"I put a spell on you
Because you're mine" then she rises up right and speads her hands to encompass them all!
"You're mine!"

The glamour unleashes...every mortal in the room gasps.... and images of rebellion, defiance.... seep into them.

A wide smile as he feels it, on his wider toad mouth.

And digs in like worms in soil...waiting for the right rain of authority to cause them to burst forward.

He scans the crowd, looking for a likely mortal to toy with.

One young couple, what they might have called yuppies waaaay back in the day, peaceful, business focused, are so caught up in the spell that they almost gain punk rebel voile! They appear to be less banal than one would expect.

Another fellow, in his thirties, more blue collar looks like his tongue might fall out

He glances outside, and sees a limo...a bored chauffeur sighs and lets three college age girls out. There's something almost trollish about the man, big, stoic, enduring those who treat him as if he were an automaton. They're not going into the club, rather a liquor store. They're dressed in sexy holloween costumes...Black Cat, Female Pirate, and Naughty Nurse

The Driver is dressed in his usual suit, obviously.

He looks for a ring on the blue collar guy.

Married, but wife not here? Mmm

William gets up and goes to the bar, fixing a beer and bringing it to him. "Compliments of the house."

"Thanks. I love this place. " He admits taking the beer.

"Well, we're happy to hear that."

"I mean, gorgeous women, beautiful music... just wish my wife was into it"

"Nothing wrong with having independent interests.... and nothing wrong with finding someone with the same interests to support you."

"mm ?" he says "oh I don't have many buddies. The guys at work are more into country western."

"What line are you in?"

"Air Conditioning... HVAC and the like" he says "Good enough money you know? "
