He chuckles then pulls forth.. the Magician card "Flattering. And.. interesting. " He taps it. IT changes to a 6 of Spades. "Wait, this isn't just chicanery.." He taps it once more, and... It's the Magician card, "You...stack well, young lady. Few mix chicanary and Metamophsis so adeptly"

"Thank you" She says

The boggan leans back, eyeing CC appreciatively.

"The real kicker though... " he says "is how you just omened me to learn what you can"

CC looks intrigued, "you..saw that too."

"Barely," He admits, "just barely. the omen wasn't revealed in anyone part.. but the mix"

Sip.

"Can't blame me for being curious about a guest can you?" She leans forward on one elbow looking at him, "You're clearly a man of power, and I guess I wanted to strut a little while sorting you out."

"Young lady, " He says "I think it's safe to say not a man alive is unaware when you strut. I begin to see you two may not need me as much as I thought." Amused "But the offer of wards is still there"

Emerson seems quietly pleased.

"Then yes, absolutely, but do you mind if I watch?" A smile "Not something you'll have a satyress say often"

The older man actually blushes JUST a sec, then he says "I imagine you will want to know a lot about the wards details. Of course"

Emerson clears his throat. "Should we consult with Caesar?"

"Yes, let me go get him for a phone call. He might be available now. " A glance to them both as she rises slow. "Pardon me, Gentlemen. Be just a smidge." And she saunters off

The troll grump stood as she left the table, and then watched her go, then glances at Emerson, "Can I ask you a question?"

"Yes." Still watching after her.

"Does it trouble or delight you knowing that your time on this earth is likely shorter thanks to a pleasant exhaustion with her in your life?"

A brief puff of amusement. "There are those who would say I have overstayed my welcome as it is." A speculative look at the troll, then ..... no, not now. He finishes his drink.

"Well, in that case, good on you getting quality and quantity, Emerson. You have pulled off one magic trick most men cannot manage"

"I assure you, Emmitt, this was no trick of mine." Bemused. "I happily claim ignorance as to my current situation."

"Bliss indeed"

"Hear hear." He murmurs again.

He looks up at the larger man. "I do hope I may visit, on occasion. Not enough to be a bother, but...."

"MM we're allies to Rivervale, you know that right?" he says

An eyebrow rises. He considers his words before saying. "I'm aware there's a relationship, yes."

"Then hopefully you'll understand if we keep one eye on you while you visit." He says "But yes, you will be allowed to visit."

An ironic smile. "And for my part, I will keep my eye to myself."

A chuckle at that "If it makes you feel any better, there are places I'm very cautious about myself. "

"And" he adds "A few places cautious about me"

"They do" He says "You'll get a chance to meet them I'm sure."

"I do hope so. Another?" He offers to pour.

"Surely." he offers the shot glass, "In truth, their folks may have made a classic mistake I fear."

"Oh?" He pours a generous serve.

"Three girls... triplets, enough blessing for any man, but after a few years, they noticed none of them seemed likely to chryslias." He sips, "And... they tried again for a child. Turned out to be a boy...and sure enough, he dream danced early.. a true troll. "

"Ahhhh.... " understanding."That is a difficult situation. Miss CC and I have spoken and.... I believe she will welcome them all, kithan or no."

"I'm glad to hear that.. nt that girls were unloved, but talk about a favorite." He shakes his head "Boy became a bit of a brat for a while too. Fortunately, there's only so much the proverbial village will put up with and he's an all right kid now"
