"yes sir" she does not wolf down the food despite her hunger. a true appreciator of the culinary arts, she knows how to savor

Hugh is on duty as a bouncer, of course. As are the enchanted mortal 'twins' who told him of this.

He steps out into the club and flags down someone 'in the know.'

"Do you know Miss CC's whereabouts?"

"Yes, sir, your office, sir"

"Goodness...." He bustles off to that very place.

"Dearest?"

Ack! She's gotten into his files. Searching for something specific, she's simply taken a lot out of the filing cabinet and put it on the desk "Where did I Put that? Oh, hi Hon" Digging through the papers

while she keeps an immaculate kitchen... paperwork is less... uhm.. oh dear. His system

His bustle propels him forward. "Can I help, Dearest?" He starts trying to rescue the paperwork.

"No no I'll get it, just looking for the... oh that's not it' Another thing put to a different part of the desk "So maybe it's this one"

"What are you looking for?" He picks them up as quickly as she puts them down and shuffles them back into the right order. He knows better than to store them yet, though. Best to keep them in his hands.

"That paper on our internet capablities. You know it drives me nuts to see lap tops and smart phones littering my jazz club, but I read this thing about online orders for food and I got to thinking..." sort sort shuffle sort

"It's right here, Dearest...." He gets it for her.

"Oh, well, huh" she says "I was going to get to eventually" CC kisses him a thanks anyway "So, while I don't want to turn this into a pizza delivery service, I was considering where we might want to go with catering, music and food both for weddings"

"I think it's a brilliant idea that deserves further exploration." A small smirk. "And, there's a boggan in the kitchen from the fires in Pacifica. She's having a sandwich, then I'm taking her to Firnost."

"She says she was with a group, but they were separated on the trods. Apparently, there is not much noble support for victims out there...."

"I'm sure you are startled and surprised by that as I am" Dryly "Poor thing. "

"Does her story seem legitimate to you?"

"Mmm." He thinks as he sorts papers and files them. Correctly. "On the surface. She's been through a great deal recently. She does seem genuinely concerned about these others she's seeking."

"Well, right of rescue applies to us helping her too. Sounds like you're already doing that. Seems awfully odd that she'd stumble into a jazz club out of all of Kansas City"

"I do not disagree with you. And she has a small treasure that I think led her here, to our little secret. Of course, if she was -looking- for it....?"

"I want to stop being paranoid but after our last half remembered adventure..." She bites her lip, "no, your instincts are good, your training better. If you say she seems geniune then she probably is. If she finds one of her missing friends, see how they interact maybe? True friendship vs co conspirators?"

"Well there -is- a reason I'm taking her to Firnost and not behind the mirror. No, I do not trust her so much at this point. But Right of Rescue, indeed."

"Take that little needle thing in case you need to defend yourself" she kisses him "And call me when you drop her off?"

"I shall." He promises with a kiss back. "Do you care to meet her, or shall I keep you my little secret?"

"I think I'll drop by Firnost and meet her independently, see if her story changes" A wink "Go on. I promise to stay out of your paperwork while you're away"

He closes the filing cabinet gently. "When I come back let's talk about this internet idea of yours. On the surface, I like it." He pats her butt and heads for the door, his guest, and Firnost.

She smiles, she does love that man
