Though he loves her, there can be no doubt in Bill Bill's mind, CC can be a creature of familiar settings at time. Outrage is one of them... "Ignorant censoring savages!"\

"Barely even human." He agrees absently, then looks up from the paper.

"Oh don't you start" she huffs, "You're not even sure what I'm talking about" She twhaps a paper.

Not THE Paper, one in her hand

"Oh, but I yearn to be enlightened...." He folds the paper and sets it aside. "Dearest?" he offers his lap.

She sits down in it with a sigh, "I have a petition, a petition, insisting, that my club forgo using the song "Baby, It's Cold Outside" . MY Club, insisting." A hiss, "They have no concept of context, historical or otherwise! "

He glances at the paper in her hands. "Screw them."

"Not enough wine in the world, literally, but yes, indeed, figuratively" she scowls 'THey claim that they will urge a boycot of the Emberclub if I do not 'get woke' with feminism." A snort, "They wouldn't know real feminism if it bit them in the ass. There are rude comments about the 'objectification' of women in my acts... do they not realize that I'm owner AND head performer? My choice, my voice, my body? Etc? I did not tear down a Gwydion Patriarch so I could have some modern day Puritians co-opting feminism and then trying to trash my work. Oh I am so livid"

Not that he could tell, right?

He lifts a brow. "They are rude to you in this?" He gestures, requesting the letter.

She hands it over, "More condescending..." CC glares "But apparently because the ladies in our club wear nice costumes for the period acts, it's objectification. No mention of the suits and things the fellows wear, and trust you me, I've had them wear it tight once in a while"

He reads.

It is indeed more of an ultimatum than a request not to play that particular song, with threats, and no few bits condemning the overall style of the club proclaiming CC and the club misogynistic. Given the flexible hours and benefits (Not every club has time off for maternity etc) he has arranged for his workers, talk of 'exploitation' might irk him as well.

A frown. "How did this arrive?"

"By email, and also nailed to my front door as if someone thought they were Martin Luther. Actually, I wish it was a religious thing- those types of puritans I at least am used to. " A huff "Damn it. We gave time off for the women's marches that some of our waitresses wanted to join in. I paid for their bus tickets"

"Dearest, have you Whispered this?"

"Local college group it seems, or most of them are."

A silky smile. "Which college? I recall you giving some life lessons to a few pool players...."

"University of Missouri. Frankly, most of the kids there I like. Harder workers than folks give them credit for, but it would appear this little 'special interest' group has decided I'm the windmill they want to tilt at"

Another set of eyebrows. "Care to go visit?"

"In the temper I'm in? If I find the ring leaders of this, I'm liable to torment them for days rather than scream at you..." A pause "Oh, I see why you're offering now. " Almost coquettish

He grins roguishly.

"If it would make you feel better....."

"Well, fine, but it could be quite banal...the rigid think is all over the writing" A fair warning

"MMmmmm...." He pauses. "You think so?

"I think so, we can peek though, but as a rule, those who would censor tend to be enemies of creativity. At least in my experience. Then again, I'm a satyress. We tend to dislike restraint." then a sly look "Unless fashioned by the ones we trust" A wink

He huffs with amusement. "Anytime." He re-reads the note. "Peek, then? You, or I?"

"Oh you take lead. Lately I fear my imagination is running to the predictable... for example, I'm tempted to see if there are 8 of them, put them in harnesses and have them think they're reindeer. Old holiday ideas like that" A sigh "Was a time I did not get stuck on themes"

He pulls her close and kisses her. "I like your themes, Dearest. You are, believe me, nothing like predictable."

She savors the kiss, a bit of heat in it, "whew...thank you, Bill. I guess it's not fair to you. I tend to show my angry side more to you than others, even when you weren't the one who brought it on. It's partially my years on stage. Bitchy primadonna tends to be a turn off for those who want to hire so I try to redirect it"

"Mmm..." He savors her passion. "I like it."

That gets him another kiss "Masochist. That's one reason I Love you though, because you accept all of me. " Yes, mood shift to happy "So, do you want us to learn more about these folks or should I drop it?"

And Bill gets to think it over....

"I will have a look." He decides. "After all, working without good intelligence is begging for disaster." He pats her butt, urging her up off his lap, and gets a mixing bowl and some milk.

She slides rather than springs off him , a wink and sway "Your'e right, of course. You often are. It's both one of your more endearing and more annoying traits"

"I know." Comfortingly. He pour milk in the bowl, waves the letter over it as if sprinkling words on the surface, then sets the letter down and puts the bowl on top while singing the (traditionally) male half of the song for a bunk.....

CC has to fight the urge not to sing along

William is all business as he stares into the milk....

"She better respond. Because last I heard she was practically pimping her employees. " "I know, right? To meet rent they have to weear those sexist period outfits"

He just manages not to growl....

"I think maybe a protest outside..." _The image dims for a moment as it focuses on the professor... she's more banal than the others. Hard to get a read "might be required sometime. See who we can bring in. Prucscila, call your cousin perhaps?" "Yes, Professor Hodges"_

A thin smile; there are those that would be -very- afraid of his expression just now.

CC lets loose a low whistle, recognizing the look

The image shuffles and moves "Ted. Your mom maybe?" "Mom's not as dedicated to the cause, but if I asked, maybe." "Well, try. We'll bring her around"

He can tell which building this is in. And he's got names. But now it seems to be going back to computer work
