Caesar was drugged,but how was this not found out right away? Why did people not notice his drugged state? He's used similar things himself.

Magic, that is cantrips, might have done something but Caesar shows no signs of having been cantripped.

He ponders it for a time. Then, slowly, ot occurs to him. It wasn't caesar that was cantripped. It was the drug itself.

Mmm but which cantrips? And... that does confirm a fae had a hand in this

He rolls through the options in his mind, staring through the samples in front of him in the kitchen.

((He texted CC on his return))

CC texts back that she's about to lose the Dougal and drop her off at Caesar's house

A brief eyeroll at that, but not his primary concern at the moment. He think. Cantrip.... something to weaken. Hollystrike? With a frown he goes to find the tape of the match and review it.

He observes the film footage. He's by now seen enough wrestling, particularly of Caesar, to notice when the man is not at the top of his game, or even at its middle. Caesar has his reflexes slower, and a lack of coordination ...

The herbs in question would certainly explain that

Veiled Eyes! he realizes that would do it nicely, a veiling on the drug would have everyone ignore it, perhaps even ignore the possibility! At least until the bell had long rung and it was too late for a gimmie or a take back

Simple, of course. Don't complicate matters. Well then..... He returns to his tests with this in mind.

Yes, that makes perfect sense and it certainly would work .... natural drug, no one but the caster notices. For Caesar it must have been confusing as heck while it happened. Would he even be able to THINK about being drugged?

_ A good cantrip, and caster, and no one would know.... Hm._

Still , it would wear off eventually, and then one could come to all the theories they want. So hardly a perfect plan.

-IF- he ever moved away from blaming himself. And if the caster knew him well enough, they'd know that. Hmmph. A scowl.

cc comes in, "Well, that was interesting."

"Hm? Do tell." Still partly pondering.

"I fished around, after your clue of how she felt. Oh she's very into him ." CC says "What did you learn on your end?"

"He was drugged, a natural herbal compound that was hidden with a Veil, I think."

"THe herb was cantripped while it was in him?" surprise, "Have you ever done that sort of thing yourself?"

"Yes." Mildly. "The drugs were covered with a cantrip, and I tend to think it was done before he took it."

"Interesting. Guess who one of the people who provided drink and food to him before and during the fight was?"

"Oh, -please- tell me it was the elf?"

"She is one of them, yes" CC says "which leads us to the question of 'why'?"

"Why?" Clearly he has an answer, but he backtracks. "She was one of them; who were the others?"

"His agent, who as a mortal cannot cast cantrips though he could be used as a cat's paw, and a young boy named Josh, who is a troll childling, and one of his 'Caesarinos' who was there as a special guest"

He purses his lips. "A troll using drugs and cantrips to betray a hero is... unlikely."

"Unless he was magicked or maniplated himself, but the first at least should be noticed. Caesar's kenning is fine"

Her boggan nods. "I checked him myself, tonight."

"So our main culprit is obvious. we have to be sure though. Because, let's face it, both of us want it to be her"

He smirks at her. "Well."

"Can we kidnap her and torture her till she admits it?"

"mmm maybe if it was closer to your birthday"

He gives her a pout.

"think of it as a challenge so you don't get too used to easy mode" her eyes sparkle though

He chuckles for her at that.

"Do you think you established enough of a raport to find out?"

"Given time, yes. " She says "I ccan possibly fugue her to lower her filters, but she'd be aware after" Thoughtful, "May have to take it slow. But, if I find out she really did it, darling? how do I keep myself from strangling the bitch?"

He pats her hand. "Remember that I want to help?"

She laughs and kisses him on the lips briefly, 'I will remember."

"Be careful about any cantrips; we know she's very good at them, she may be on guard." He pauses. "I wonder......"

"mmm?" Open to suggestions

"Well... bear with me.... but we are -sure- she's Dougal?"
