Sylvi folds her arms and watches. "She can't."

But then Kelby gets the lasso around the sinking thing, and Sylvi grabs on to help pull, though frowning as she does so.

And pulling her forward they drag her out and up and...pull her to the trod

"Colton...be wary." Sylvi mutters as they pull her in.

She lays on the trod, somehow beautiful despite the muck on her. Where any other girl would just lookk filthy and gross, the sidhe, who appears to be a wilder about their age, just looks beautifully vulnerable.

A blink...she wasn't especting whatever it was to still seem sidhe-like when it got close....

Was she wrong?

Colton offers a kerchief.

She watches, still wary, as Colton reaches out to the girl, but she's unsure enough now that she doesn't stop him.

She takes it "A gentleman, thank you. I am Fanya. " she stares at them, and takes slow deep breaths, "And I should be grateful and understanding. I know there are traps and tricks in the dreaming. I know this."

"How...were you traveling alone?" Sylvi asks, her caution giving way to shame at her error.

"We made a mistake, and I'm sorry," Colton says apologizing for ALL Of them, not just Sylvi, but how Sylvi feels about him apologizing is... well, that's her heart.

"I was following the others. I had veiled myself so they wouldn't notice. I wasn't supposed to go" Fanya says, "I fell behind and.. " A sigh "Well, obviously I made a mistake too."

Distinctly uncomfortable is how she feels, and she glances around the surroundings, ostensibly to make sure there's no other threat approaching...but also so they don't see her blush.

Kelby's eyes still show distrust. This is a sidhe after all

"others? What was this group looking for?" Betrand says, hiding the mirror.

"Oh, omens show that there is balefire nearby. "

She beams at this, "Can you imagine? Balefire?"

A look to Bertrand, and she frowns. "Who are the others you were traveling with? and how far away do you think they are?"

"Others of House Varich mostly. Why?" A look at her dress "oh I'm filthy"

"Just...curious."

She steps back and draws Bertrand aside.

"How close do you think we are to it," she whispers to him.

Betrand pulls aside, "Hard to measure time and distance here, but can't be more than a day away at most right?"

"It better not be." She frowns, thinking hard. "And if she was following them, and only got knocked in about fifteen minutes ago now...then they're probably less than half an hour ahead of us."

"But they are ahead of us" he mutters "Crap crap crap. I don't want to lose this."

"Well, she owes us a debt...but she's Varich, so good luck getting that paid off." A grumble.

She looks to the others. "We need to keep moving."

Zane and Colton seem to be doing their best to help Fanya. Kelby mutters something about 'boys' on top of her usual distrust of Sidhe. When Sylvi makes her statement, the guys nod.

"Where are you going?" Fanya asks "I mean, why are you all here?"

Sylvi looks at the others, then back to the sidhe. "We're...adventuring." It sounds lame as she says it.

"Yes, but to what end?" Fanya says

Squire Colton opens his mouth

and gets elbowed by Kelby.

"oof" he says instead, and he gives her a look.

"Lady...with all due respect...our goal is a private matter." Sylvi draws on her experience with having to answer Hemlock with courtesy. She bows her head. "I do hope you will understand."

"I suppose I should since you are my rescuers...but.." A pause then "No. I will not press. But I do ask for one more favor. May I come with you and you help me find the party? I'm going to be punished for following after, but it's wiser than going alone."

"Pardon us while we talk a bit" Bertrand says, and pulls everyone out of Fanya's earshot

"What the furk guys?" Betrand says "I can't pull out the mirror while she can see it. She'll guess we're looking for the same thing."

"We can't just leave her alone out here" Colton says

"Actually we can," Kelby says "Tell her to stay low, hang on the silver, and boom. Done"

Zane would say "I don't know, she seems so fragile? So..oh wait. sidhe. Well, okay, reformist policies or not, For some reason I want to help her."

Sylvi is silent for a long time, then sighs. "We can't leave her. We just can't. Alone on the Silver, and she's already been stupid once. Okay, so...Bertrand, you go in front. Kelby and I will be right behind you, and we'll be a wall. Zane, you walk with her, since you want to help her, and Colton you guard the back. Good?"

"Okay" Colton says "I'll try to keep her from getting close enough to see the mirror though it makes me feel like we're greedy."

But he moves back.

Kelby sighs and watches him go back then mutters "is he always like that? " Speculative

Zane is already approaching Fanya as well, chatting her up.

"Mostly, yeah."

"Okay, Bertrand...lead on."
