Sylvi has never thought of herself as the most physical member of the lodge. With bruisers like her dad around, and warriors like the Chief, she isn't used to thinking about her strength in that way. Sure, at school maybe where the mortals are, but even then...

But it is a true testament to her heritage and kith birthrights when she hauls Zane free of the sucking marshpool back onto the Silver with an abrupt pop!

She sits down rather suddenly, startled by how quickly he pulled free.

Behind her, a bird that looks something like a hammer headed vulture goes thump as it is slain by a combination of blinding light from the mirror and Colton's own mighty blow

Zane says "Oh thank youthankyouthank you"

"Wow..." She looks at the others. "Everybody okay?"

"Way to GO, Jersey Girl!" Kelby grins

Blinking at her hands for a moment before getting up, she grins to Kelby. "Couldn't have reached him without you, Kels."

Then a smirk, "Iowa."

"Nice work, Bert. You made it easy for me to line up the hit." Colton pats the nocker's shoulder//"Furking made sense when you suggested it. Good strategy, squire."

"I never would have thought of that, with the mirror."

Colton blushes "I watch a lot of fantasy movies and such. So , not my idea exactly."//"Wel, it worked' Betrand says "Zane, are you furking okay? " //"Yeah thanks to the girls" Zane says "Whew."

A glare at the muck, and then, "I want to get away from this stuff. Everybody okay to keep moving?"

"Oh hell yes"

Colton takes the bird "Why would the bird knock prey into the muck and lose a meal?" //Betrand says "I suspect the bodies eventually wash up drowned further down or rise to the top dead... easy pickings then. But yeah, let's go." They all move further along when Zane tilts his head, "Anyon here that?"

"Stop, listen...." She strains to hear what Zane picked up on.

"Help" Further up

A sigh. "Okay. Keep going. But don't leave the Silver."

They move up and see a figure caught in the muck further up. She's managed to latch onto a vine and that's al lthat's keeping her from being pulled under.

Sylvi tries to judge whether the figure is within reach.

If they form a changeling chain, they can get her. Betrand says "Okay, Troll, non troll, troll again. Colton, your arm means you should be first. Then me, then Kelby, then Zane... Sylvi you ready to take the far end and grab her?"

Sylvi eyes the distance, and listens to the plan...then shakes her head. "Too many of us off the Silver. It's not safe." She looks at the figure, calling out, "How'd you get there?"

"A bird hit me. I saw it coming but couldn't move" The girl says "Please!" She turns her face, her beautiful sidhe face, towards them.

Her jaw tightens. "How long have you been there?"

"I don't know, ten minutes? Not long..."she struggles.

"What's it matter?" colton says "We've got to so something. We can't just let her drown"

A grim look, and she speaks low to the others, "This is the kind of thing my dad always talks about. Stuff that looks like victims, but they're really nightmares in disguise. We keep moving. If she's really a sidhe, she'll just dictum us to help her, and then we'll know for sure. If she doesn't...then she isn't." She's trying to sound certain...but she's really not, not at all.

Kelby says "Makes sense"

"No, no it doesn't. Not every sidhe knows sovereign," Colton says "Are you really going to let someone die maybe because you think they know and will use a cantrip?"

She frowns. "No, I'm going to not let us fall into a trap. And just how many sidhe do you know who don't know sovereign?"

"three" He says flatly.

Kelby frowns "She's sayin it could be an illusion. She's right, she could be just fake"

That makes her hesitate, but she sets her jaw. "And I know what I've been taught."

Bertrand is quiet, welln ot quiet, busy.

"uhm maybe " Zane says "Can we hopscotch her out of there or something?"

"I can't. She's a noble." A frown, thinking.

"Whose good with a lassoo?" The nocker says. While they talked, he chopped some other vines and made one.

"What is WRONG with you people? I'm not a thing! I'm here, alivee, you want to see if I'm real? Ask me questions! My name! Anything!" The sidhe girl almost flares with offense

Sylvi steadfastly ignores the outrage, and looks to Kelby. "I know a Farm isn't a ranch, but did you learn anything like roping there?"

"Sure ... Sometimes for pigs..."

She takes the rope

The sidhe starts to slip "I ccan't hold on forever...ths is slick"

The first lasso attempt by Kelby misses.

The second misses too, but comes much closer, less than a half foot away from the sidhe

Bertrand, sympathetic as he was to both sides and working a solution, kind of loses his temper "For Furk's sake, stick an damn ARM through it already, girl!"

The sidhe glares at him, but puts her arm through the loop and...the vine she was holding onto goes free. And she goes under, but still tied to the lassoo

"I got her," Kelby says starting to pull "Bit of help?"
