Sylvi grins. "Well, thanks, Zane. Hey, Kels, how is Storm training going, anyway?"

"Pretty good. A lot of it was learning how to fall right, believe it or not...at least at first, then exercise, but I'm back to weapon swinging. We can spare sometime if you want to see. I'm getting pretty good if I do say so." Proud

The plateau theory proves to be right as they come to the grass land and see that it..well, the trod PLUMMETS. Oh, it's still a trodd, but trod or not, how are they supposed to keep from falling over the edge?

"I'd like that!" she says to Kelby's invitation, then a bit of a grin, "You should try sparring with Colton, too. He's good."

Then she stares DOWN, and her eyes go wide. "Oh....wow."

Colton smiles at the praise, "Thanks, Sylvi."

"Well, shoot. " The nocker curses a bit under his breath, "I should have kept those vines."

"No need," Zane grins "I got rope."

"I could try to Hopscotch us, but...all of us? It might not go well...."

"I'd have to do it one at a time."

"The rope does seem to come up a bit short," Kelby comments as Zane pulls out about 10 feet of rope.

Zane blushes "Nothing wrong with my rope. I mean, normally"

Kelby blinks at him like she's not sure what's wrong with him but whateveer.

"How far do you think that drop is?"

"Thirty feet ,maybe 32" The nocker guestimates.

"Okay. And can any of you Hopscotch? Or fly or...whatever?"

"I can gimmix but...mm not the same" Kelby says

"I can hopsccotch. I've been learning" Colton says "so that's two of us"

"Yeah, but...even so, that's a long way. Let me think..."

Zane says "How about we tie the rope here, swing down ten feet, then whoever gets hopscotched the last 20?"

She considers that, and nods. "Safer. Still risky, but...we can try it."

"Tie it off, and I'll go first. If it doesn't work, I don't want to be at fault for doing it to somebody else."

"Ahem" A voice calls up from the area

The voice below belongs to a rabbit, one she knows well

She stares down, then smiles. "Flopsy?!"

"Hi." he thumps his foot, "Would you please all just take the tunnel I dug for you? I made a gentler slope. "

"You dug a tunnel?" Betrand turns to see a hole at an easier slope and blushes

"Oh....you are getting a BIG hug when I get down there!" She goes to investigate the tunnel.

She goes first into the dark of the tunnel, crawling carefully.

there's even silver like a trod! Did he shuffle it around or is the whole side a trod?

Down they go..into the dark, the very dark, the arker...oh there's light "Brought a flashlight" Bert explains. Okay, not so dark

She chuckles at the appearance of the flashlight, her mood immensely lifted by Flopsy's intervention.

((I'm guessing this is a crawling tunnel, not a walking tunnel?))

BIC: Soon they tumble out and find themselves at last at ground level... "Hi. " Floppsy says "I hope you didn't mind me hiding a lot but..well, the Dreaming can be dangerous."

"No, don't mind at all!" She pulls the hare into a big, squeezing hug. "Thank you, Flopsy. You're the best."

She gets to her feet, brushes off, and looks around. "Okay...which way from here, Bertrand?"

"We're close..." The turf here is awfully red, red clay, but not dry. Some stone but even the flora has a redish cast...and there is an arch way someone constructed over a trod, yes, redstone and beautifully done, like an arc de Triumph

"Past that though"

"The red...that's not...is that blood?"

"Something died here, and stained it. " Kelby nods "This isn't just a patch of the Dreaming...it's..like a place a giant died. Bigger Giants than us"

"Oh...oh, boy." The sheer quantity of it all...but she shakes her head and gets everybody together. "Colton and Kelby up front, then Bertrand and Zane. I'll follow with Flopsy...if he sticks around, that is."

"Of course I'll stick around" Floppsy pouts

her kith mates move up front as directed, and they heads towards the arches...

as they pass through the arch. Sylvi feels dizzy, for a second. She feels , no, she IS taller. More trollish. And ...memories are leaking in.

"Furk, we're out of the near Dreaming andi nto the far!" Betrand realizes

She pauses, steadying herself. "Bertrand...you're sure this is the way?" This is more than she'd bargained for, more than she'd been ready for when it comes to protecting the others. Are they ready? Should she turn them back, for their safety?

...but it's so...amazing....
