Dubh says "I wonder how the Chieftain woudl feel if we stole the emmisary after her time as eimmsiary was done? We could use a young sorceress"

She smiles. "Gerd is always welcome here."

"That wasn't a no or 'don't try to pinch her away' I notice" A smile on the normally straight laced Scathach

She looks innocent.

The face of an ugly, UGLY girl peeks in.

"Ashblythe?"

"Yes, sorry Baroness. " She comes in her girly floral dress, and curtseys "is it true? THat I'm to be sent to Rivervale?"

Her mouth quirks. "No, that's not quite it. It sounds like the boggan chain got ahead of me, here."

"Well, Gerd spoke about it a little... but yes" A nod

"I did discuss the chance of having you visit Rivervale, because I thought you might enjoy seeing a troll lodge."

"Little Joe and Redfang and the others are wonderful, of course - but you can ask them about Lodges."

"I think they might appreciate someone who.. looks nicer than I do to visit"

She arches a brow.

"I am not sending you there for how you look, I am sending you there because you are a brave, honorable, and talented young lady."

Torn between sternness and praise she looks at her feet "Yes, Ma'am Baroness ma'am"

A pause "is it REALLY that different at a lodge?"

"Well, I am a sidhe, not a troll. I can't speak to how it will be for you. I do know that I benefitted from experiencing different kinds of holds, myself, before I came here. And Rivervale was a good place for me."

"They were nice to you, weren't they!" She remembers that being mentioned

She nods. "I was... holdless, in many ways. Adrift. They offered me a safe place and acceptance, when I struggled to accept myself."

"But you're PERFECT" The girl says

"Hardly, sweetheart. But thank you."

"Well, I'll be happy to go then" she nods

"I do think you'll have a good time. And there's a lot of childlings there, not just trolls."

"I heard legends" She admitss "Stories of a mysterious group known only as.. the Shadow paw" She says "I think I would like to learn of them while they are there. If they are good I will help them, if they are bad" A fierce look, "I sshall have to bring them down"

A faint smile lurks at the corners of her mouth. "So it must be."

"I'll go pack and catch Gerd while she's getting her stuff" She says then stops and "uh. permission to hug the Baroness before I tell my friends?"

The smile widens, and she opens her arms. "Granted."

A BIG Hug from a very loving child

Ashley is briefly wrapped in both arms and soft golden wings.

She could stay there fooorreever, but it's brief and she smiles, then heads off to tell Gerd to wait for her to pack and tell her friends she'll write

Dubh nods "She's a joy"

"Agreed."

"Now , as for the count... should we discuss plans for his interest in private council?"

She closes her eyes, mouth tightening into a stressed line.

"I am a Liam. I must think of my people first, not my pride."

'i meant contendency plans for his spies" He offers to guide her to a private parlor "I have an idea and I think a private meeting with the sluagh rep would serve well"

She blinks as he leads her to the privy chamber. "Spies?"

"He ignored this barony while childlings were allowed to Forget."

"I know..." he agrees "But it sounds like revisionism is his go to. I have an idea to get around that"
