So as Anne of Green Gables brings a female monster to life so she can literally make a new friend ala Frankenstein to join her at the ball where they'll each be in disguise...well, she may find herself riveted.

(Or other combo as suits her!)

Sttu stares as Zara gets lost in the story that is only as good as the writing skill and imagination of the one reading, then whispers to Clio "That's how it got me"

If Zara closes the book, and opens it again, it recycles.. different favorite characters, twist of genre , another plot adapted

"Oh, this is a dangerous volume..."

Stu bobs his head, "You can't even chew your talon off to get free"

"And if you try to take a break, you lose the ending!"

"I refuse to look at it" Clio says with a flash of Satyr pique then adds "Again"

Stu is sympatehtic "One moment Laura Croft is fighting Zombie Nazis side by side with Indiana Jones the Lich on the Oriennt Express, then the next... My Little Ponies are in a heist"

"Obviously, one must commit!"

Clio shrugs "who has the time? We have considered selling or trading that book"

"You would let this slip your grasp?"

"Over my fluffy cadaver" Stu protests

"Stu, we could get more.. stable useful resources in exchange"

"Stable, useful resources' sounds so... dry..."

"Like the Sahara being sarcastic" Sttu adds

A nod. Stu understands.

Clio shrugs "A single book that's only as good as the person reading it, or a dozen true classics or tomes of knowledge?"

"How much room does it take on the shelves, truly?"

"Miss Zara, you realize you're talking yourself out of a chance to buy or trade for this?" Clio points out

"Go Zara go" Stu muttes

"I could buy it, aye. And would be well served. But the book is also clearly appreciated here."

"Stu doesn't want to let ANY book go" Clio points out "If his appreciation is the deciding factor we'll be swarmed in books up to our necks in novels"

"you're welcoooome" Stu sing songs

"....is that a bad thing?"

Clio looks at her, then at Stu "I sense I am out numbered"

"Tis never an overabundance of books, Miss Clio - simply a dearth of shelving."

"Go tell it on the Mountain" Stu holds up his hands

"Obviously, well, I'll let Stu and you talk books." Clio says "I think.. there are childlings in the hall trying to flag me down..."

And Stu turns to Zara "Now, do you use the De We Deck Malls system?"

"Ah, I actually use both Dewey and Library of Congress - I find Dewey more suited for smaller collections, and for fiction."

And the two talk shop, though stu does ttake a moment to translate, he is a good listener
