Stu is offended "NO library?We have a library,we have two whole book cases... and and a half!"

Clio sighs then explains to any guests "I should apologize... this room is a library of sorts, but it's also been my study. As scribe I needed a desk and files for my inks and papers."

"But of course. We have a scribe, as well. I do hope my offer of books does not offend?"

"Fair from it... " Clio assures, "I just worry my cornner detracts.."

Stu however moves up to Zara "Books you say? how many forgiveness..err books are we talking?" His large eyes glimmer with that kind of desire only fellow biblophiles understand

Zara hefts the basket again, offering it to the pooka.

"I think not, Miss Cleo. I believe your work space enhances the atmosphere. The smell of ink and vellum, the dust from the quill feathers... aye, most agreeable."

Stu takes it and sniffs happily

Clio smiles and says "Thank you, you're too kind. And Sttu will thank you too once he's.. done sniffing the smell of the books like an addict in nneed of rehab" A side glance from the satyress to the boy

"Ah.. opps" Stu blushes "Thank you for the ambrosia, it keeps me young"

"I understand." And Zara does.

Clio gives a prim Mm nod

Stu declares "We do have hundreds of rare librams." And by a hundred he means... three

Zara is lead to the three books, and Stu shows them off like he hatched them from eggs. One looks like a yellow pages phone book of old, the other is a hard back of sanguine hue, and the last is elegant leather.

"Ah, this one is quite well aged... and notes in the margins from a long-dead reader, at that..."

"I know right?" Stu says. The Yellow pages phone buck does glimmer with magic

A brow, and she kenns it.

Why there's something almost necromatic about it, yet.. not negative

She leans in close, turning the pages forward, and back, and settling exactly halfway - a simple enough bunk, to whisper. "Tell me, what is thy special nature?"

"Oh, delightful."

"I called Socrates ... " Stu chimes "HIS last words were 'I drank what??'"

"They were not," Clio fusses at him

A quiet smile.

Clio says " That book is tricky to use. Seems to work better if yo ucall on a landline"

"Well, that makes perfect sense."

Stu fluffs proudly

The sanquine book, if she looks at it, is notations of House Balor!

She prickles.

But skims!

A journal of sorts of the Late Baron, but with segments of more 'official' balor philosophy ... some sound tactics for interrogation ..and.. gossip

She notes the gossip... pardon, the information.

Smirk.

Stu looks apologetic "That book has been rated D, for Dicknose"

"Stu" Clio lowers her glasses "Manners"

"The Balor are not known for rising above their base nature."

"Yes, but We should " CLio looks at Stu

Stu blushes "Right.. shouldn't have said nose"

"I have no love of Balor."

"Few do, at least arounnd here" Clio observes "if a tear was shed for Harkson, I do not know of it"

"Indeed."

The leather cased book also has a bit of glamour....and it reads "Fictonnius randomus"

at least that's the title
