"I've not really met any redcaps. Is it true that if you talk back to them, they'll bite off your limbs?" Hands go into her pockets. "I -like- my limbs. They're useful where they are."

"They are the more unseemly half of the nnightmare kiths... rude, and horrifying."

"Sometimes I'm rude. I've never bit nothing off no one before though." Thoughtfully. "If I had to, I'd hit someone with a nice, heavy hammer. I kicked Sir Dubh, but I had to apologize later."

"Did Sir Dubh have it coming?" Curious

"He cast a cantrip on me. I didn't LIKE IT."

"Well then, it sounds like he might have had it coming" A nod

A grin to Lily, forestalling the scowl that was coming in at remembering. "Yeah? Yeah. I agree." Walking down the hallway, peeking into this room or that for other childlings.

The sound of clacking wood in one room

Grete peers in.

Kushaaneh and Catir spar with wooden practice blades

She watches for a minute... wondering how a slower but heavier hammer might fare against those quick blade movements. Lily, however, doesn't seem the type to want to watch sparring. She moves on.

Actually, Lily has paused and is staring, not at the sword play, but the Ifrit, she whispers "is that one of them?"

Grete stops, and backtracks. "One of who? A squire? Yeah. You know Catir though, don't you?"

"I know her, I mean the taller girl who looks liek she gives off heat. Is she a jinn?"

"Yeah, that's Kushaaneh." Grete steps in and waves. "Hey!" Then, belatedly, quieter. "Hey?"

Kushaaneh turns and nearly gets hit in the head then huffs

"Sorry" Catir stops and then turns "Oh, hello, Grete. WHo is your friend?"

"This is Lily. She's from Earthrunes and watched to meet Kushaaneh."

"I think we've met, but nice to see you, Lily" Catir inclines her head

"You wish to see me?" Kushaaneh raises a brow "Why? If this is a blood feud I don't know of it"

"I heard there were jinn here" Lily whispers

Grete meets Catir's eyes, and gives her a nod in greeting. Cordial!

Cattir returns the bob

It would seem the Squire and Grete are at peace, maybe even some better understanding

"I am a Jinn, yes, of the Ifrit" Kushaaneh declares, "We are the greatest warriors of all the Jinn, perhaps all the kithain too"

At that, the Gwydion rolls her eyes juuust a bit

"Unless the war is arm wrestling."

"I'm working on that," The Ifrit points out "And sometimes I win.. ."Then a pause "But Grete really is strong, Lily."

"She's the first wichtel I've ever met" The little sluagh admits, "And you are the first Ifrit. I wanted to learn... could you tell me if either ofyou have any particular fears? Nothing minor, but on a scale of one to ten, with ten being the most afraid... could you give me the sixes and ups?"

A wary look at Lily now. "Why? You're not going to use them on us, are you?"

"I have no plans to" she admits

Kushaaneh sides up next to Grete "Yes, why should we share our fears with you?"

Grete seems uncomfortable with the idea.

"Because.. I said please?" Lily gives a toothless smile "May I know your fears, please?"

the.. smile isn't reassuring

"Right now? I'm kinda afraid of telling you." Grete admits.

"Ooo" Lily seems flattered

Squire Catir looks at Lily "Lily, remember that thing I told you on how scaring folks first before you make friends might not help you make friends?"

Lily ponders "Yes, I do recall now that you..." Realizzation "Oh..well, drat. that's inconvienent"

"Connor told me something like that too" She sighs "Well, it came out more like belly rubs are more likely with snacks.. . but I THINK THat's what he meant"

Grete crosses her arms. No one is rubbing HER belly.

Kushaaneh seems to agree, "The Ifrit do not allow belly rubs" Indeed, she seems quite nervous about it

"My apologies then," Lily says, then cohnsiders "Kushaaneh, what would you tell me about yourself and the other Jinn?"

"Well, I could tell you how Ifrit are such mighty warriors but then tell you of the other Jinn... " A look at Squire Catir "We can practice another time?"

"Sure" Catir's face falls just a bit but she nods

Grete ponders. "Do you got any fighting sticks that aren't swords?"

"Well sure, we got clubs and staves and well, 'maces' that are just clubs with knoby ends and.. oh... uhm practice mallet"
