The woman turns and translates

"Hope, I need blankets. Lots of them. Do you have small ones?" Grete holds out her hands to demonstrate, the size of a shawl or small throw. "Please."

"Or fabric, can cut it up."

The woman, a kithian of the likes Sparrow has never seen, at first seems quite old, thin skinned and frail until Sparrow look at her eyes which look younger. She assures them, then turns "Apologies, great lady. I should warn you, I cannot lie. So do not ask me to tell them stories. "

Hope says 'No need to cut it up. We have blankets and more on the way. Need one now?"

"Oh!" Startlement as she realizes the woman's nature.

"Well, this IS my home."

"And they ARE safe here."

"I don't know our next steps - but for now? I can promise them guest-right."

"They just need to be small enough to kneel on. And, uh. Which was is East?" Grete scuffs a foot a bit as she explains, "My parents took me on a trip to Dubai to visit some Sheik. I didn't care about his palace, but outside, they had these churches - built out of marble and carved like you wouldn't believe? I wasn't supposed to talk to them... but they all had these little rugs, and did prayers like, 15 times a day facing this one city."

Hope bends down and hugs Grete "you are a good person. Yes, prayer rugs. I should have thought of that"

And she gestures "That way is East"

"I just remembered because of the marble columns, 'n all."

For Sparrow, the woman she's talking to nods "You are as gracious as the angels in stories you resemble. I am Permaz. My kith is called Qareen"

"I am a sidhe, and I hold this fire and these lands." A pause. "Not all of us have wings."

"The sidhe are not unknown in my lands but they are rare." Permaz assures

Hope nods "Some mosques are amazing I hear.. " And the little witchtel is handed some rugs, indeed, soon BeaTK has come in with donations from her store

Sparrow nods. "I wasn't sure. I am most familiar with European kithain. Still... how can I best help? Are there families in the mix? I would like to get the children bathed and fed first..."

To Hope, Grete says, very quietly. "...Mama said they were a dirty people, because they were always kneeling on the ground. But they had pretty rugs - she wouldn't let me look close, but they looked pretty." A frown. "These people are dirty. But it's not their FAULT."

Grete almost never speaks of her parents... and it may be evident why. She looks uncomfortable.

Permaz says "Fathers, brothers, sons.. they were left behind," She does not sound proud of that, "But yes, there are relations. "

Hope snorts "Your parents have a thing to learn about empathy my dear. Begging your pardon for me saying so. And you're right, anyone would be dirty leaving a war zone"

Grete nods, straightening up a bit as Hope understands. "I'll go give these out."

Nessa helps heal the last of the Rovers

Families are organized - groups of mothers and aunties and daughters sent to the bathing chambers in batches.

Out of them, six are kithain, 9 Kinain or mortal

The men of the hold have orders to give the refugees distance. So many of them are on outside patrol or back room work

Sparrow works with hope to find rooms where family units can be housed together - and hopefully all fifteen can be close by.

Little Joe approaches "My rooom is huge. I can get a hotel"

Sparrow hugs the troll! "See to Hope, I shall cover your stay. Or, if you wish, you may take the guest rooms at the mortal house..."

LittleJoe seems startled by the hug, then pats her back slowly "Yes yes, there there. You are doing well. They will be fine"

Then he lets her go and clears out some personal things from his room

"Thank you, Little Joe."

Clio works with Permaz , to take notes of who is related and not

Sparrow works at meeting all of the refugees - many of the children have some english from school, to serve as bridges with their families.

Indeed, one girl speaks of the courage of her father proudly in English

Sparrow listens, genuine in her interest and care.

"A bold warrior... " She insists, as if daring any to deny it

"Very brave, yes. He will be glad you are safe."

And then the brave little girl wipes her eyes and nods. She now wishes to be alone so she may have her eyes get 'weak' in peace

There were some leftover stuffed animals from before... the little girl is given one to "protect" as she goes off.

She grabs a winged horse stuffed animal, and SQUEEEZES it so it will be safe

Glowing rocks, stuffed animals, prayer rugs... and ah, the sluagh made tea!

Hope moves to her "Baroness , the healers report everyone is out of danger from wounds"

"Wonderful!"

"We have some kithain in the mix... they might require the bale.."

"The wounded Rovers should spend the night here, I think."

"Hastien says the rovers have their own hold and you need the room" The steward says

"I tend to agree" Chancellior Grey says "I'm sorry I was late."
