The Rover looks tired, and yes, wounded. Nightmares rose up greatly on the day of such dangers in far off lands

"Saving lives takes precedence - I'm aware of what would happen to these women and girls, if they had been left behind."

"FOrtunately the kinain and dreamers are enchanted, but some will be very confused how they got here. We're looking for a story"

"You have done a commendable thing, even if we have much to untangle now. But first, you are wounded. Are any of your Rovers also in need of healing?"

Nessa canters up, pausing just in the doorway to not interrupt the conversation.

Nesa can see that indeed, other rovers look torn and tattered. A few have half healed bullet wounds

Her eyes widen, and she turns, rushing back off before she says a word.

"About three of my crew are pretty torn up but they don't want help until the refugees are accepted. I'll tell them that's the case" Hastien says

"Nessa! Perfect timing. We will need to mobilize - I know you have some first aid, but please, gather all who know how to wash a wound or place a dressing. We have a few healers - Dame Otha and Little Joe... if you get Hope and Clarence on it, word will spread fast."

"Or... go get help, yes. Thank you Nessa!"

Bix ends up trollducted

ANd the boggans are abuz

Dame Otha she also seeks, but for some reason, Nessa would never dare abduct HER, though the dame would certainly be granted a ride if she so required....

She returns quicker than might be expected, with whichever of her Mentors she could find!

Explaining even as she races in, "...wounded rovers, and you haven't seen the people they brought in - they are dirty and wounded, tired and scared... Bix, there are CHILDREN with them..."

"Understood. I'm better with machines but I can do this.. where's an Aesin when you need her?" He complains

"Right here, you Iowan yokel" the Sidhe moves with her own herbal bags

"I know I'm only learning, but if I can help. Take my glamour, or let me add it, if you can do the... the fountain, for healing." She has learned much, but in theory...

"Could we take them down to the lake? Would that help?"

"You two, you may access the fire to fuel this..."

The healers nod at the offer of access "Up here is fine. The lake isn't needed I don't think."

"Nessa," Otha says "what I need are your hands. We'll clean out wounds for infection, then I can work"

Sparrow rolls up her sleeves. "How can I help?" Deferring to Otha and Bix.

"Okay." She nods. "Is Irene around? I..." She frowns. "Maybe she shouldn't see this.. but she has quick and clever hands. She could bring bandages and move around faster than I can... without knocking people over."

"Caitir is on page duty today... "

Bix looks at Sparrow "Well , I would suggest any non healing adult men stay away from the non kithain women for now. We don't want to scare them. Many maybe traumatized. Truthfully, you might want to focus on assuring them all will be well. They may remember dreams about an angel"

Catir is moving quickly to the baroness side "Baroness, can I Help with the healing? I have old skills?"

A child screams in a back room. One of the mortals

And as everyone starts to react, Ashlee comes out "It's my fault.. she. .she saw my face. She. she got scared. I 'll go... "

Ashlee's ugly ugly face is face is flush with shame and guilt

Grete SCOWLS as she overhears this, but she mutters to herself a mantra, "Just a kid... not her fault... Just a kid."

Grete seeks out Pepper, and shows her a sack full of some of the childling's treasures. Smooth stones, these ones mostly with crystal cores. Colored quartzes - cheap, honestly, but she loves them as much as anyone would a diamond.

"Can you add some light and warm to these? I picked the ones with refer... refractory crystals. It should bounce around inside to glow longer than a stone without any. I can give 'em to the kids."

"That's...very nice of you." Pepper admits "Damn kid, you're an angel. Here.." And she runs fingers over the stones

and soon, they're a bit aglow and warm and toasty

"I have lots. They don't have anything. And pretty stones make ME feel better." Grete says with a small flush, and moves to hand them out, letting each kid pick one. A little warmth against the terrors they've seen.

Ashlee gets a hug. "Not your fault, no. Why don't you help make bandages? I'll go check on the mortals..."

"Caitir, thank you, yes. I trust your hands."

"Grete, good idea! Thank you. Will you help me with the refugees?"

Ashlee melts into the hug then nods "yes, Baorness"

Grete considers - she doesn't always seem to get along with Caitir, but she nods. "Yeah, sure. Here, YOU give one to that kid that yelled." Not quite trusting herself not to say something to the poor girl.

Catir seems to be focused on healing , her expression focused and almost adult as she works

Sparrow nods. "Come along then. I know it feels a bit like an invasion but... but trust me, these people are fleeing something truly awful."

Nessa carefully washes wounds, her touch gentle but firm. As one Rover tries to jerk her sliced hand away, the Centaur proves strong - she has weight behind her, and holds on. "None of that. You may have nicked the tendon, let us clean it if you don't want to try learning left-handed sword fighting."

The troll rover Nessa is working with looks surprised at her might "Huh. shame you're not a biped" a smile on hsi face

Sparrow watches as the enchanted girls gape, one looks ready to bow. The refugees are not hurt as bad. Tired, scared, exhausted, but the Rovers took the worst of it

"Two legs good, four legs better." Nessa says with a smile, cleaning his hand and bandaging lightly to keep it covered until the healers can attend.

"I don't speak anything but Spanish and English - do any of you understand me?"

"I do" One woman stands up.

"Thank you. I am Sparrow, this is my home. I know you have many questions - but first, can you let your sisters know they are safe here? You will find haven, find food and hygiene and rest."

Grete seeks out Hope...
