"I'd better let you go now... I think there's a line up to dance with the Baroness."

A tiny sigh. "Yes, I suppose. Maybe we can sneak out and play some of the yard games later?" Hopeful smile.

"As long as no one laughs about playing horseshoes..." She can't help it, she laughs herself. "Or doesn't laugh TOO much."

"Actually...." She looks at Sparrow, and grins. "How do you feel about Frisbee? I bet you could get some awesome air..."

"Ha! So long as Ladybird gets to play, too. Have you seen Sad Lab Eyes? I would get those."

"Of course, but you need another player with hands, though. Unless you've taught her how to throw BACK..." heading to the side of the dancing area to clear up space for others.

Others do come forward to dance with the baroness...

and one satyr approaches Nessa, "May I have this dance?" he smiles "The line was shorter but I'm not sure why"

Does she recognize this fellow? She can't help it, she looks a bit nervous about the stranger. Stop that. You're in the Hold, surrounded by friends. No one can hurt you here. A deep breath, and she nods. "I'm not very good, I just learned."

She's seen him visit once but could not place his name, "Clive."

She gives him a small bow, polite, but not quite as deep as for the Baroness of course, and offers her hand. "Nice to meet you, Clive. I'm Nessa."

"Hi Nessa, I promise to take it slow if you do" And he takes her hands and glides her out.

Sparrow, of course, has a lot of folks ready to dance with

It keeps her busy, no time to be shy!

And yet, Sparrow might find however BETTER these dancers are, she doesn't enjoy them as much as Nessa. Odd.

Well, duty calls. And it isn't unpleasant.

Indeed, Otha actually does a mean cha cha. Then says "Please tell no one of this" With almost trollish deadpan humor

"I won't! You have a reputation, of course."

"of course" And she parts

Following Clive, she listens to the new song. "I only just learned to Waltz, and only the first three steps." She warns him, a little sheepishjly.

"Hey, if we step on each other's hooves we'll just say we did it for percussionn.. clack"

A laugh, "At least I can't hurt your feet?"

"Are you new here? I don't think we've met. Or just visiting for the holiday?"

"Local, kind of.. I'm a returnee... hey wait, you.. you do look familiar."

She raises a brow. "What gave it away, the hooves, or the tail? If I changed my braid, would you have recognized me?" A little teasing.

"No I mean.. before... uhm... your dad.. a ranger or tour guide or something? "

"I was in a tour group" he adds

"Oh!" She colors, embarassed. "I'm sorry... I didn't recognize you. It's been... a weird few months, you know? What with the... everything."

"Nah, I took the tour years ago.... I had braces and... god help a bowl cut"

She hides a smiles. "I used to go with him on lots of tours. First when I was younger to avoid paying for a sitter, then to spend more time with my dad. I think I could recite half of them by heart. "Here on your left you can see the scenic overlook to Sleeping Lion mountain..."

He laughs "Yeah, that's how it wennt. I onnly went the once..." A smile "You look great, and I don't just mean the hooves"

"That's nice of you to say. I'm really nothing special, outside of the hooves. That's the unique part. Especially around some of the real beauties."

"You're selling yourself short, Nessa," he says as their dance finishes, "The baroness seems nice, but while she danced with others, you're one of the few she talked to."

Blushing, "Well, in her defense, if she hadn't instructed me, I'd have broken one or both of her feet!" Smiling, "Thank you for the dance, Clive."

"My pleasure!" He grins and blows and turns
