The Piskey sraighens his tie and approaches the hold, he glances up and swallows "Well then, there she is."

the sight of trolls on watch is still a bit nerve wracking, but what's a man to do but his duty?

He approaches the troll thane. "Ho there, take me to your leader if you would?"

The troll looks back. To his eyes, piskies have an annoying tendency to blur. They tend to be the ultimate culture chameleons at times.. Eshu stand out, Piskies fit in. The only thing he's sure of is that htis fellow dresses in voile like a 19th century rail road worker

"Can I ask your business with the hold?" the thane asks

"Oh right... Peter O'Wang..." Says the Piskie "I'm here to represent the Piskie population of the barony"

"Peter O'Wang?" He blinks, though he supposes that makes sense. Irish.. Chinese, Railroads

'Terribly redundant " the Piskie nods "If you please?"

"Follow me' The thane says

Peter looks surprised "You're not friskig me?"

"Should I?" the troll asks

"No no.. just surprised. Old Baron was a lot stricter. Then again," PEter admits "the old baron would not have asked for representives"

The Thane smiles, "Redfang is probably wih the baroness right now. If you tried something against the baroness, assuming she didn't take you out defending herself, HE would. No. I'm not worried" And they move on

"I like what the place" Peter says as they move through the halls

The troll nods "The murals? yes, the baroness is an artist"

"oh," PEter says "I meant the liberation"

The troll pauses and eyes the piskie. It isn't often a troll gets out deadpanned. A nod of respect for that one

A soft scuff behind the pair.

The troll thane turns and looks at the scuff

Scuttle!

As does Peter. At his belt, a set of keys jingle

Hazel eyes and a crop of silver hair peeking around a hutch.

"Ah," Thane Stinson says "Speaking of your people, Mr. O'Wang, this is Irene. One of the pages of the hold"

Peter's face breaks into a grin "Irene? I heard she was back..not that she's like remember me"

"I've seen you before."

"You got away. Even with the dogs going after you, you hopped a moving train. Least... least that's what the boggans say..."

"Well, for once.." He bends his knees to get more to Irene's level "the boggans are right. Worked Amtrack in Alpine for a bit recently, but there was a vote... they sent me. Hope you don't mind? Didn't know if you were angling for the job?"

"Wellll, I am the only piskie..."

"Was?"

"Did you want to be the only piskie? I can tell the others to get back on the trains" Mr. O'Wang says with a somber tone "Wouldn't blame you , girl, if you were mad at us."

"There's more?"

"Well, you know how some of us are, go where the work is or just get the urge to travel a bit.. not like Eshu mind you, but we get around." Peter O'Wang says "I'm one of three.. four if we count you . We heard the old guy was gone. heard good things"

"Lady Sparrow is nice!"

"I don't remember a lot from before. After I got sained, I wasn't allowed in the hold anymore and then things got fuzzy until Stu and Ashlee found me."

Peter O Wang nods "Ashlee was a brave one. Glad all three of you are back. How's your mother?"

"Mom, oh... she's got a lot of work to do."

A nod "Somethings do not change" Peter says

"But she's good! She lets me come here to see my friends and we might have a sleepover at my house next month maybe!"

Peter grins "Will she now? Good to hear it. Your mother maybe mortal and quite busy, but she has always cared for you with a fierceness. And, more than once she's taken pity on a traveler down on his luck."

She bobs her head. "Mom tries."

Peter 's keys on his belt sway, some of them look very old, others are just shiny, looking to be made of copper or even silver. "And you're a page now? Good good. No piskie is ever afraid of hard work mmm?"

Stinnson answers before the childling does "While all the pages work hard, Irene seems to have a real talent for it. Someone needs something, she gets it fast or probably already has it"

Nod-nod-nod smile!

"I'm helping. Lady Sparrow doesn't think childlings are useless. Plus, Grete SAVED the whole barony from a monster..."

"A monster?" Surprised

"it's true" The Thane says "I saw it"

"A giant snow monster!"

"Well, with the kids around maybe we're not needed" Peter says to the Thane

"I hope not. I need a roof over my head" The Thane replies . BOTH seem QUITE serious
