"Minecraft. heard of it, haven't played" And getting more used to the girl she picks up the walk "Oh now Zelda I Know. I played onee of the earliest games of that. Video games are very good for imaginations as long as you don'tt stay just in them. I think you're very smart to try to see how to take video game ideas and make them work" SHe goes looking "now where is the Steward..."

"Probably the kitchen, it's the Command Center."

"I played a lot of video games when I was forgotten, but I like having real adventures better."

"You poor thing" She says "I heard about that, we just forget who we are" And Rose realizes that if she were to forget, she'd.. hate it. It would be like being robbed of something far more precious than wealth. They head to the kitchen

and she says "Anyone there?"

"Just me" Pepper says peeking out "Well, and Mary Ellen but her hands are up to their elbows in dough. Can I help you?"

"Dough? Cookies?"

"Oh, ah, looking for the steward so we can get this young lady a bow her size if they have that?" Rose says

"Oh heck I can get you that" She says "And no, Irene, some sort of pie!"

"Mrs. Rose is going to teach me to be an archeress!"

"Oh well shi.. I mean, great" Pepper catches herself "Here. Red fang gave me the key to the armory I think we have something about her size" And she says "Be back in a minute, Mary Ellen" And Pepper leads them on to a room.

This part of the corridors gets a bit narrower, and Rose seems a bit more tense

Irene clicks softly and pats Rose's flank, reassuring. She has a sense of these things.

Rose actually blushes a bit "Sorry honey. Just feeling.. I prefer open places with options to move"

Pepper looks apologetic "I forgot I.. sorry, still new to Centaurs"

Rose smirks at that 'So am I"

Then Rose adds "Fortunately , Irene's looking out for us it seems"

"Oh, sure. You're my friends."

"Irene is a piskie. did you know that, Pepper?" Rose says

"I had heard" Pepper plays along.

"They seem a most impressive kith" Rose muses "Natural braiders"

"I'm the ONLY piskie here. For now."

"I bet once they here how nice it is now, they'll come back."

"There was a wilder, Finn. But he left."

"Oh yes, good agile hands.. for Braiding" Pepper says

Rose says "yes, maybe Finn will be back. For now though, is there a bow in..."

"I don't have a lot of hair to braid." She rumples her bob.

"Here you go" And sure enough, a small bow and practice arrows are produced by Pepper "These do?"

"Ooo.."

"That's perfect." Rose says "now, Irene, even practice weapons can be dangerous. So always make sure you know who is around before you practice, and where things will go if you miss. " She takes the practice bow and arrows and waves to Pepper as she takes the girl away outside "Targets are out here."

"Thank you Pepper!"

PEpper waves "have fun"

Rose smiles , It's been awhile since she's got to hang with the young ones, unless you count the brats that don't know how ot behave at diners. And Irene is no brat . When they get outside, she says "Okay. Now if you listen to me and practice weapon care and safety right, after the lesson, I will make sure you are secure on my back, and I will reward you with a gallop after."

"Wowsa!"

"Wowsa indeed' Sagely, and she 'dismounts' Irene, and shows her how to position, and nock the arrow "Now, you'll find the longer you hold it, the harder it gets. It takes some muscle to draw a bow. And the harder it is to draw, the more power behind the release. But don't you worry, we work our way up. So.. like this, then this... only in one smooth motion " And she releases to show, and nails the target easily. Then again, it's in childling range

"Okay... so..." She's a good mimic, though she has a little trouble drawing the bow - shooting off the arrow too soon and wildly!

"Oops!"

"Okay, maybe not too fast the first few times. It's okay. If you can hold it steady, then fast won't be needed for targets. Try again. Don't worry about what I'm doing over here. eyes on the prize"

Rose has given orders before. And managed crowds and yes, raised a daughter. She knows how to be firm yet encouraging

"Okay. Like Katniss."

"Yes. I get that reference" She says dryly

"She fought against the bad guy, and was brave."

"You weren't here then. Lady Sparrow is much nicer." TWANG.

"Well, I was in the area but not a centaur yet so wouldn't have seen" She says then observes "Hey, much better on that second shot"

"I almost hit!"

She trots off to retrieve the first two arrows.

"You did. " She nods "Every improvement however small means progress"

"Oh, I like that. Progress!"
