"My god, I think this might work."

Grete is scanning the crowd as discretely as she can. Looking for anyone giving her a look... so she knows who to avoid.

Clio says "you want to learn Calligraphy ? I could give lessons"

The satyress seems happy to share some of her skills

Sparrow hugs Grete, impulsively. "Thank you for the idea!"

Surprised, she hugs her back. "It was your idea... I'm glad that you can take his money and undo some of the bad he did."

"You know that means you're going to need to wear black if anybody shows up asking questions, right? For a little while, at least."

"Well, I'll deal."

"We can get this in place, and then declare him missing."

Sylvi nods, and looks at the others, looking to see if anybody seems to have qualms about it.

To Clio, "I'd rather learn rock tumbling, but Da says that calligraphy is more ladylike." A small sigh. "But I DO like my alabaster fountain pen. It's hard to make it write without splotches."

Sylvi notices Sir Brynn looks troubled.

"Maybe you should practice lapidary. That would be jewelry, with rocks. Cabochons and the like..."

"And aren't some inks made from minerals?" she adds to Grete.

"Everything okay, Sir Brynn?"

"They are?" ...following her glance towards the Knight, she returns to poking at her burger. Can't fit another bite. Maybe drop a crumb of beef to anyone below...

Giver of Burger! Grete gets grateful licks!

"I.." Sir Brynn says "It's jsut, my brother and I are not poor. We could perhaps assist?"

Sylvi nods and then looks to Sparrow.

Sparrow smiles. "That is kind - and that kindness is appreciated. Perhaps with Ashlee's mother, as we get things sorted?"

Byrndann looks at Brynn as if he's nuts, then sighs "Perhaps"

"This may lead to some duels" Brynn adds

"I'm sure you'd be heartbroken."

"I mean, if someone slights your honor with slurs..." The Gwydion twin says "We are honorbound to defend our liege"

A bit of a grin at the twins, which she hides a little late.

"Why don't you let the Baroness swing her own sword" Redfang says "Less she asks"

Grete looks up at Sparrow. A glance at Sylvi, and then back. "Um."

"Sylvi," Hope says "I'm sorry to bother you, but could you show Ashlee that bedroom... the one with the fine chandelier?"

Sylvi nods approval at Redfang's words.

"Well, I shall play the part I must. I did kill the man."

Ashlee says "ME? in a room with a chandiler?"

"Lady Sparrow?" Perhaps interrupting.

"Yes, Grete?"

"Oh, sure! You're going to love it, Ashlee."

"I'm supposed to tell you something. And if you don't want to be called my aunt after that, I understand." She hurriedly says, before Sylvi has a chance to depart.

Sylvi's getting up from her chair, but waits and stands as Grete begins.

"Okay." A nod, permission.

"I beat up a mortal." Her chin sticks out, stubbornly. "And I know you're Liam. But I still did it. So if you have to punish me, I guess that's your right."

"Why did you beat up a mortal?"

Stew said "Because if she didn't, i'd have to hulk out"

She looks startled. Prepared for scolding at best, yelling at worst... but not expecting a chance to explain.

A glance at Stew, noting.

"Grete, tell her the situation."

"He... Biff... deserved it. He called me a bitch. And he called Stew a loser, and Stew said Biff took his books and threw them into Tartarus, and I don't know where that is, but it doesn't sound nice, and I DID give him a chance to take it back. Miss Sylvi, didn't I?"

"Did you use magic against him? Did you do anything which might damage Ignorance?"

Sylvi nods. "She gave fair warning and a chance to make it right."

"I headbutted him right in his gut, and then whalloped him a few times. I think I bloodied his nose. But I didn't even kick him, y'know. That's playing dirty."

"I might have if he'd fought back, but he starting bawlin' and Sylvi told me to stop n' I did."

"Did you do any serious harm?"

"No worse than I think he wanted to do to Stew. He was being a bully." Scowl.
