Sylvi looks from Grete to Clio to Sparrow. "Okay, so...we need an account, and ID that says Lady Sparrow is a relative of the dead baron...."

Then blinks at Sparrow. "Um. It is?"

"What is?" Baffled

"What if I were the aunt? A... " Her nose wrinkles. "Legally. What if I was the widow?"

"Vegas isn't even that far..."

Grete looks up at Sparrow. Something warring in her face. Worry. But she settles it and nods, and says. "You can tell them. Even if they hate me." Nodding.

Another blink. "Wow. Oh, wow."

"Wait...tell them what?"

"You can't say she's a relative because he has relatives who know they don't know her." Staring at her feet. "He was my uncle."

Wide eyes, then a look at Sparrow. "Okay, so you've GOT to be the Secret Wife."

"Exactly. The pretty vixen from Vegas."

"They're going to call you a gold digger" Redfang warns "You able to put up with that slander?"

"Well, I am digging his gold."

"And using it to protect my people." Stubbornly.

"I mean..." A look at Grete. "You're okay with this, right?"

"They won't call her NOTHING." She retorts! "I won't let them. Lady Sparrow is nice. And better than he would have deserved. If I say so, they'll believe me."

Ashlee looks at Grete and smiles just a bit.

"Not that gold digging is a bad thing. But there's not any gold I've found on these trails."

A small frown, wondering if she missed something.

Sylvi stifles a grin at the sudden declaration of loyalty.

Stew says "And I will be Grete's moochy best friend."

"Clio, you can forge the certificate? And I think one of the sluagh can go in and alter computer records..."

"Sure thing."

"How distasteful. To think, I married a man."

"Forgery is going to be a lot faster than trying to get a lawyer to legally transfer stuff."

"I'm sure my mortal parents will be thrilled."

Sylvi grins. "Scandalous."

Hope says "oh dear. I actually LOVE this solution. So many soap operas influenced me"

Sparrow drops her head back and laughs. "Oh, heavens."

Pepper blinks "Where can I Find a dead rich bachelor?!"

"Maybe he was a polygamist?"

Grete looks a bit taken aback. It's so.... simple. And yet, elegant. Like finding a seam of raw ore in a played out mine when hope was feeling lost, and then seeing it glisten in the light.

"I am not changing my name."

The two twin sidhe mutter something to each other

"Nope. You're an artist, need to keep your name for professional reasons." Sylvi smiles.

"Good pointt" Dubh nods to Sylvi, "I.. normally would have a problem with this, but.. well, right of rescue" A pause "Wait, how does this help the right of rescue?"

"Because, that HORRID woman is just the sort to take money in exchange for her daughter if need be" Hope says

"And then Ashlee will be safe with us."

"Grete needs to stay here, too."

A grateful look at Sparrow.

"From Newlywed to Widow to guardian of two, " Otha says "Mm itt IS rather Soap operic"

"Or Lemony snicket genderflipped" Stew nods

"And so young." A dramatic hand to her forehead.

"I can write up letters. Dad wanted me to learn calligraphy, that's why I had that pen. Talking about you. I can say I was saving them to send when they got back from their cruise, but they got stuck out there. No one will let the luxury liner dock because of the Corona."

"Oh, of course!"

"Okay, that's a really nice touch, Grete." Sylvi nods approval.
