Bix glances over and..waves with fingers

"Well, as you said - Rovers must wander. So one who could commit to a year, one who would be willing to communicate with us. Preferably one friendly towards Liam."

She squiiiiiints at Bix, looking the two over.

Hastien nods "Surely. I'm sure Olgar has a few ideas."

Hastien is a handsome latino strapping warrior type troll.

Bix is younger, and more of a Cornfed Iowa boy

She has two eyes, and can sideeye with the best of 'em.

"I know a DeBuke likely wouldn't. Shame - DeBuke's are good folk. Solid."

Finally she speaks up. "These fellas causing you trouble, Lady Sparrowyd? Shaking you down?"

"Hey Grete. Nope, we're politicking. We're good."

"Shake-downs are politicking. Or they were."

"Oh... no I..sorry" Bix says "I'm here to help but I am still a modernist.. no offense. Your'e defintely a hero"

"No offense. I know Clem and Earl."

"Now, Hastien - since you have been sent to speak for the Rovers..."

"Yes Baroness?" He asks

"Tell me about yourself."

Hastien seems surprised? "Me? I'm just another hard working Rover. I joined roughly 3 years ago, and was trained for a time by Olgar the Rover ,a nd spent some time at Rivervale. I've been in five major battles in squads, and at least a dozen monster slayings or duels."

"Are the Rovers like a Union?" She asks, curiously... of Bix, as Hastien is speaking to the lady.

"More like a society of... guardians, a knighthood in some ways even if we're not all noble" Hastien says "But we look out for each other"

She listens, and nods a little.

"My name is Hastien by the way, nice to meet you" He offers a hand to the girl

She eyes the hand as though looking for the vipre in it. After a moment, she shakes it with her own.

Firm grim for a young lass!

"Wichtel right?" Hastien shakes "Only met one other. He had a strong grip too."

Eyes up! "Who's that?"

"You want to know the Land, Grete's your girl."

"I'm my own girl." Thumb jerked at her chest. "That's me. I'm Grete. I know every rock from here clear to the far side of the Lion."

"Guy lives in Kentucky. Big mining things there" Hastien says and nods to the Baroness. "Noted. Now I have two other Rovers, currently at the outpost, to back up your men there. Maybe give them a break. I can go there myself and.." then helistens to Grete, and he looks a bit amused, a lot impressed and nods "that's noted too"

She nods. "Speak amongst yourselves, talk to Olgar. Bring me your candidate to take the fire. I think we can make this work."

"Will do" He nods "I leave Bix in your gentle care" and he bows ,then says 'nice to meet you, Grete"

Bix says "Gentle care? I just..want to help.."

Sparrow smiles at him. "And that's appreciated. You will find some folks troll-shy here. Sidhe-shy, too. Harkson was unkind."

"I heard" Bix says "the Mountain, that is, Sir Frank, sends his regards. I came here in part to try to regain our Kith's good reputation. Sylvi mentioned it had taken a beating here thanks to those that served Harkson"

"Sylvi has been wonderful in that regard, herself."

"Oh shoot yeah" Bix grins "Sylvi could sell an ice machine in the Yukon"

"Truth! I just skate by on charm."

While Bix finds her beautiful, he at no moment oggles her . He does chuckle "Charm is something I have to work on. But I can offer you some lore, some magic, and if you got a car needs fixing... or a truck? I'm the guy to see"

She throws up her hands. "My civic, and most of my things, really, are still in Missouri."

"We'll get her here then" He says

"When things calm down, yup. Should only be maybe two days of driving."

"Might be able to flicker flash her. Not my power but I think with the right amount dross.." A pause "Or I can enchant it and drive it up the trod"

"That's a LOT of dross."

"Especially since, well, most of my stuff fits into her, and she drives just fine."

"mm well, I supose you're right. Just .. I plan to have my truck transported here. It's a nice pick up. My sist helped me with it"

"I don't think I know your sister..."

"She's a nocker... I'm good at fixing trucks and cars and making them run, but she? She makes em better." He says honestly "She could hook an engine to a toaster and have it pop out bread at 100 miles an hour as it goes by you"
