"He's the genius who ANdrew Lloyd Webber robbed, yes" May says loftily.

"He wrote a LOT of stuff. We read 'The Lovesong of J. Alfred Prufrock' in Lit this semester. That took some time to figure out, but it was awesome."

Sam has her eyes half-closed as she pulls the memory.

"The mermaid one, yeah."

Sylvi inhales with the verse that Dagmar recites, almost riding the waves of it herself. "That's 'The Wasteland' right?"

"Sam, you remembered!" May beams

"Do... do you think dogs have Jellicle Names? Secret names for other dogs?"

And then May takes a sip of Gerd's tea...

"We should ask Brown Dog."

"Prufrock, about the mermaids."

and ignites!

"Oh, I forgot that's at the end of Prufrock...."

Gerd goes "Where there's a witch, there's a way."

And then she's watching May carefully. "You're a rock star, Gerd!"

May is enchanted, she drops the tea and looks about as if not sure where she is "No, Dayana, I said No! My dreams are hurting people! I... " tea flowing on the floor, she scrambles back "Wait, where..."

"May..."

"Who the fuck is Dayana?" Lupe growls low in her throat

"May, it's okay. You've seen us before. It's me, Sylvi. Well, Sylvia. You're okay. You're not hurting us."

The blue giant extends a massive hand, her forehead creasing underneath a brow of ridged horns.

"She the one that screwed May up extra hard."

"My pills... I need my pills" May looks back for her bag "I was sure they were here. Don't worry. If I take them it will stop the dreams and I won't hurt you. I would never hurt you, Sam. NEVER"

"May... please, just breathe for a second?"

"Look at me, please."

Sylvi's about to say something, but she defers to Dagmar.

Checking on Lupe. "You cool?" she asks quietly.

"No sam.. I 've got a hundred ideas, any of them might kill you. I need my pills so they won't hurt you , or the fairies"

Lupe says "If Dayana were here she'd be dead. Other than that.. fine. Focus on May"

"May, you're right. You would never hurt me. You don't need pills for that. That's just you, you wouldn't hurt me."

"Right there with ya," Sylvi mutters back to Lupe with a nod, then refocuses on May.

"Here, let me help" Lucia says reaching into the bag, and.. taking out the bottle of pills "Nope. Nothing here"

May somehow doesn't see them

She still has her hand out.

A smile to Lucia. "Excellent."

"you.. you have wings" May says , then she looks back at Sam "I knew you were blue but I.." She ..she takes Sam's hand "Sam.." tears flow "please... send me back. The dreams are stronger when I'm like this"

"You have the best dreams. Remember the flying whales? The soap-bubble fairies? The flower cats?"

Something dark is forming...

but at the same time... something light..

"Strong dreams can be good dreams, May. And they can defend against the bad ones."
