Brekke knows that melancholy. She has been familiar with it for decades (and longer than that in the before-time). But as they approach, she attends to the 'feel' of the Count's home more carefully, seeking out any hint of distress that may be evident.

Curtains seem to flare up and down softly in a quick on and off wind that is not there. The air they breathe has a tense feel to it, as if a storm might break out. There are light grinds in the very cobblestones as if there was teutonic pressure on a very small scale. Brekke realizes immediately that Hemlock is...frustrated... and he cannot hide it fully. Not from her. That is not ALL there is. There is along with it, judging by the way chess boards in a game room they pass by seems to glimmer, and the stance of helms on suits of armor twist- also a great deal of thinking going on. One might even guess scheming?

Dagmar can't help but look around - she rarely gets up here. Knight of Gwydion or no, she's rarely dealt with formal courts.

Brekke frowns, noting these details. They hint at the Count's mood, but not at the target of this mood.

Troll thanes let them go right past, of course. A chieftain and the most decorated knight of her lodge? Of course they nod and part. They do give Dirk a look, but let him pass too making no question of the Fish pooka in his custody

But a boggan servant, a little fellow she's seen once before, comes up and bows "Chieftain, how wonderful. I'll guide you and your knights right to the conference" What was his name? Jeebs St. Clyde?

A brow at the idea of a conference in session. "Is the Count in this conference?"

"Why no no, but your input will be well recieved" Jeebs notes Yoel "Oh my, should I take charge of this young man?"

"I am here to see the Count." She does not move.

Dagmar casually shifts her weight, finding a solid stance. The armor clinks a bit.

"Oh the count isn't available at this time" Jeebs tuts "I am so very sorry, but if you wanted to take charge of that council, maybe in time he'd arise."

Siv brows, then looks at her mother and mmphs ("Delaying tactic")

A brow. "Advise the Count that Brekke, his Baroness and Oathmate, is here."

Dagmar narrows her eyes.

It seems to be TRUEISH? But it maybe that he's not available because there are folks in the way

"Of course, Baroness, if you'll wait in the Pearl Parlor?" He gestures to the side

"I will wait here."

She might as well be a tree in the middle of the corridor.

Jeebs says "I ...see. It may impede foot trafic, baroness. Your enterouge is.. sizable in it's way"

Yoel says 'How about 'I' wait in the pearl parlor, you guys stay here. All good?"

This boggan, if he is familiar with her at all, knows this is not in her nature. She's normally very accommodating. And he might deduce that this stubbornness is a calm version of potentially far more angry behavior.

A look at Yoel.

"Then you had Better Advise The Count That I Am Here, Quickly." She has raised her voice such that it echoes through the corridors.

Yoel shuts his yap at the lOOK

Dagmar sets her helm down beside her, and folds her brawny arms.

And Jeebs St. Clyde 's own eyes go wide. "I shall pass word " True, but there is something off about it

"You Will Tell The Count. Directly. None Other."

Of course, others are becoming aware, whether he tells them or not.

"I.. " A pause "I don't have direct access to the Count" he says this lowly and.. true??

She levels her gaze on the boggan now, silent but utterly loyal to Brekke.

Others peek in the hall, curious of all the fuss

"Since when?" Brekke frowns.

"For the last month can we..."

"WHERE is the Count?"

"Who the hell is bellywhooping with their facehole?" A voice speaks up, "Jeebs, we got a conference in here. It's a damned waste of time but I played along... let you string me but... it sounds more interesting in here so pardon my Nocker, but furk that"

the fellow coming out is GLORIOUS... fashion wise.

The nocker finds a small forest of Blue - Siv and Dagmar flanking their Baroness.

"Oh.. " he looks up, and up, and smoothes his mustache

An angry glare as the nocker interrupts. She dismisses him immediately, looking back to the boggan. "WHERE?"

"Like to know that myself" The nocker hurumphs "I've been yanked around so often I feel like taffy in a steam press pull"

Another glance at the nocker...a possibly ally?

Jeebs finally sputters "He's in the hold yes , all is well.. it's just..."

"WHERE IN THE HOLD?"
