"See I could never be that good at organizing" Yoel asserts with a grin "I'm lucky to remember which sock is which"

Sylvi approaches and clears her throat. "Yes. Sure looks open and unprotected," she says with the smirk of somebody who knows secrets about the home she grew up in.

Meanwhile, she's thinking, Need to talk to Mountain Vali that these are the things people are saying. He might want to up security around records.

Yoel turns and blinks "What does?"

"The notes" Basil replies. Maybe missing that he's been boon confideanted into blabbing

"Hmm?" Sylvi responds to Yoel, smiling and blinking innocently. Then, "Enjoying the party?"

"Oh it's my third favorite tailgate party" He assures

"The other two being...?"

"Superb Owl and March Hare Madness" He says

"Well, glad we rate. So, tell me more about where you're from?"

"The lake?" He says "It's nice"

A grin. "Hey, can I get you something to drink?" she offers.

"Sure... thanks .. I'll have what you're having" He jokingly reaches for the cup

She playfully pulls her cup away, which means he's moving closer to her. In a smooth move, she takes his arm and starts escorting him over to where the drinks are.

"I'm really sorry I startled so much, back there in the water. I'm usually not such a klutz."

"Oooh, is there punch?" A cheerful voice asks, as Cairrean approaches the table, Symon in her wake. They must have arrived when Sylvi was swimming!

"No harm I did rush you and.. " He turns at the new comers

A blink. "Oh! Hey, you two!" She doesn't introduce either of them by name, allowing them to do that themselves -- never know when Symon wants his name known. "We've got somebody new. This is Yoel, who likes to crash parties from a water approach." A grin at Yoel, still holding his arm.

"Greetings, Day Dream believers" Yoel says "How goes?"

Sam is off with her friends, missing the drama.

Cairrean looks the cute pooka up and down, and gives a little appreciative smile. "Hell-ooo."

Symon is pouring a cup of punch. He whispers over to Sylvi, "Not sure I'll stay long. Didn't know if you were doing fireworks." He's already eyeing the nearby boombox with a look of dismay.

Joel/Yoel IS a handsome fellow

Sylvi frowns slightly at Cairrean. Your date is Right There, girl. Then she gets distracted by Symon's whisper, and nods. "I get it. No fireworks, but I know how much you like parties in general."

Nearby, Lucia obseves under chatter. At first looking at Joel, now looking at this new girl, Cairreann

"Oh, are those the same pastries from the 4th of July party?" Cairrean observes. "Those ones with the nuts were really good, hun. I bet they're to your taste now." She offers to Symon, picking one up in a napkin even as he hands her the glass of punch. A little smile plays on his cracked lips.

Sylvi says to Symon, "Oh, Sam's here. And May, and Lupe." She nods towards the water. "Don't know if you saw them before." An expression of thank goodness.

Joel says to Cairrean "So you're new here too?"

Symon turns to look at the splashing girls in the water, and his face relaxes into a smug little smile, before he clears it to his normal nonchalance. "Good. That's... good." Nodding towards Sam.

"Yeah, it is." She's trying not to think of Caireann's earlier use of 'hon' to address him.

Yoel is not blind to Sylvi's charms and warmth "I'm a Jersey Native... but not local to Viverrale"

"Oh? Hackensack?" she guesses.

"Originally ... my father went upstream there" Warm grin

Cairrean takes a sip from the punch, then hands it off to Symon, "I gotta see if that water feels as good as it looks!" She strips off her sundress/swimsuit cover and drapes it over Symon's arm, and then dashes over to dive in. She steers a little clear of the trio with Sam and the mortals, so that her dive doesn't splash them.

A slight laugh, then asks Yoel, "Do you have any friends out there in the water who might surprise her?"

"Not in anyway that's legal or gentlemanly" A smirk

Lucia moves closer to SYlvi "Syli, the limbo contest was won... by Jimmy.. err Timmy? Want to congratulate him?"

A blink, then the smile returns. "Well, they'll behave if they know what's good for them."

Then she looks to Lucia, a momentary brow furrow...and then that smile's back. "Did he? That's great! Yeah, totally, where is he?" She releases Yoel's arm. "Excuse me, okay? Back in a bit," she adds to Symon.

Symon is watching Cairrean swim, and waves a little to Sylvi as she goes.

And she goes off with Lucia, "Was it a good contest?" she says for the benefit of other ears before lowering her voice and saying, "What's up?"

Yoel waves to her, and walks over to Symon "Known her long?"

Symon startles a little, and eyes the pooka. "This one has the Innsmouth look." He mutters to himself. Aloud, well, a-whisper, he says, "Who's asking?"

Lucia says loudly "Oh he's somewhere darn it.. " Then softer, a whisper "Sylvi, we got TWO people scoping out the place. One of them is cute fish guy. The other? Miss 'take a cheap shot at the pastries' and you. And I don't mean just looking Cute Fishman over while her boyfriend was there"

The pooka says "Some call me Yoel, The Fisher King. Others refer to me as 'geezus man wear a shirt'. Nice to meet you." He doesn't offer his hand

Sylvi's eyes go wide. "Wait...she's with Symon as a way to gather intel? She's not really into him?"

Lucia ponders then whispers "Not sure about THAT... but his eyes are on her.. her eyes are on the party not him. Maybe she's trying to fit in with the crowd, but their relationshjp feels weirdly one sided"

"Yeah, that's what I thought, too. She uses him like a purse to hold things. Sometimes she seems considerate of him, but then other times she complains about how cold his skin is." A frown.

A flutter of raven wings "I don't like to judge preamturely but I don't like the vibe" then she says "Yoel or JOel though? Definitely scoping the place out. I think you caught him off guard when you jumped in the lake. I thinik he was spying there first"
