I hear Hearth Duties mean you're basically steward, Chef, and quartermaster and more all in one. But I'm going to give it me oldcollege try to hold my own and do Bold Heart proud"

"Oh, me manners! I'm Ove!" She says "Only got room in this brain for recipies and remembering how long something has been cooking"

"Ove, lovely to meet you. I've heard of Bold Heart, of course, but I don't know much about it. What are you entering in the competition?"

"Oh, we're from Golden Sigil Duchy, you know, New York State. " She seems warm "And I should hold it as a surprise, but I'm too pleased to try my stuff out . As ye can see, I'm not your standard looking Clurichaun." A tut "It's like folks have ner heard of Black Irish? Anyway, raised in Hibernia originally, I came to Concordia to learn about 'the other side of my heritage' so you are looking at one of the few cooks who mixes Irish cuisine and soul food."

Indeed, on the counter, the Hearth can see a fine example of Asparagus Swiss Quiche

"That sounds fascinating." Kerri means it. She takes a closer look. "It makes perfect sense, of course, but I wouldn't have thought of it."

"Ah, not like I was a genius about it, just something is part of me I wanted to explore. It's where my back story lead me so to say. No doubt your past has pushed you towards some ideas of your own that would be just as surprising to me. The Countess tends to prefer the Irish side of things mind you but I snap it in to stand out when I can . as a clurichaun, I collect, for me? it's recipes"

"Oh, well, I don't have nearly the same luxury of background. Born and raised in this region -- but I did foster at Count Jared's 'candy court' so I do enjoy experimenting with pastries, desserts, and sweets."

"I'm getting hungry just hearing about it" Ove grins "And sweets are a hit for a reason. " A look "You have customers"

Kerri looks over to her own booth. "Ah, I should be getting back, then. We'll talk again, Ove. Enjoy your day!"

She moves back over to where people are waiting. "Hello. Good Pennons to you," she greets them.

She also sees her husband, and notices a slice of her apple nut pie is missing. But she has folks to attend to.

Who each have their own hopes for a treat to buy

TIara and Dagmar are called for

Dagmar steps up, rested and ready.

Sylvi calls out, "Go, Dagmar!!!"

Brekke briefly rests a hand on Dagmar's shoulder. "Do well."

When Dagmar takes the field, Sylvi texts Symon: Looks like Dagmar might face the Chieftain in the finals! Semi-finals finishing now.

Tiara salutes Dagmar "LIke old times"

"Honor to my opponent." A brief grin before she lowers her visor.

"And to mine " TIara does the same

The battle begins!

And Dagmar swings, but the centauress gets a lucky side step and manages a kick out, throwing the troll off guard a bit, before the sword strikes the warrioress

And Dagmar gets disarmed as a desperate move from Tiara strikes the mark, "Yield""

She holds up her hands. "Yield."

Brekke is surprised, but not upset.

Cheers break out from the Caer Falken fans, but Tiara salutes with her sword

"The Winner, Dame Tiara, affiliation Gwydion of Caer Falken!"

Brekke applauds respectfully as she waits for Dagmar at the edge of the ring.

Sylvi bites her lip, but also applauds.

"Congratulations." Dagmar salutes Tiara again before retrieving her weapon.

Polite, but she's disappointed.

More told by the slump in her shoulders than anything.

"If I didn't pull that off perfectly you'd have yeeted me over the fences" She admits "i got lucky. Now achance to take on the Chief"

"Good fight, Dagmar, Good fight!" Sylvi says. Perpetual cheerleader.

Symon whispers to Dagmar after she is clear.
“I thought of trying to tell you… She had a bad stance on her left hind hoof, you might have swept her with a kick when she asked for your yield. But I figured that’s might be too dishonest for you.”

He says.

“Then I thought of sneaking Quetz to spook her like a horse with a snake, but again… damn honesty. Also she might have just stomped him.”

Sylvi didn't even see Symon arrive! Of course...Sluagh.

Frown, shrug.

Tove assures "You've beaten her before you'll beat her again, honey"

She doesn't quite hear what Symon is saying.

"She got me fair and square."

"It's fine."

Brekke nods. "She fought well. If this were to happen, I would rather it in a tourney than in a true battle."

“You don’t have as much experience fighting centaurs.” Symon says logically. “We’ll fix that by next pennons. Even if we need to have you spar with Jimmy tied to a horse.”

Snort!

Symon grins, glad to have stirred even a small bit of mirth.

"Yeah, it's like being a pikeman against a destrier... gotta rethink the approach."
