After the singles tourney, Dagmar retreats to get out of her plate for a break. She finds the stabling, and fills her time with checking over both Star and Stormwake.

Stormwake greets her , he's in a good mood. Jousting day! He LOVES helping Brekke yeet others

The Eshu asks "Is she safe to approach?" She's not touched, just admiring

"She is, but it's better to be introduced."

"Do you intend any harm to her?"

"I would rather cut off my hand!" The Eshu declares and makes a gesture as if warding evil

Dagmar nods. "That shouldn't be necessary. This is Star. Let her sniff you,, like so?" She demonstrates, offering a flat palm for the mare's inspection.

She does like wise "My name is Lale. "

"Star, this is Lale." A pause. "I'm Dagmar. Star's rider."

"An honor, dear knight" She says respectfully even as Star gives her a sniff

Lale's eyes go very wide with admiration "Oh the stories Old Tiberius would tell of you"

"Tiberius?"

"An Eshu grump ... a good man, he's traveled far and wide. " A chuckle "He has the goofiest looking horse in truth"

"Looks aren't everything."

"Thats what he says" A nod "But I admit, I think horses are magnificent"

"They are." She agrees.

"I've only ridden twice. Couldn't afford more lessons. But they're nice to see"

"I was lucky. Rivervale is friends with a farm freehold, and they had their own horses. No way I could have afforded lessons, otherwise."

"A hold that's a farm? Really? Sounds kind of.. ordinary for a hold?" Not sneering, but clearly not visuaalizing it

"OH! Not at all!"

"Like... like Charlotte's Web, or Little House, or... like lots of books?"

"Oh!" her eyes light up

"Growing up in the city, it feels pretty special."

"I was originally from Suburbia, my parents wanted to keep me safe"

"How did that work out? Eshu have a talent for finding trouble, as I understand."

"I was miserable" She admits "They were son of adam and daughter of eve. So they didn't understand but the local changelings helped me out. Now I travel and it's SO much better. I love em but... well, I need to find my story by seeking other stories out"

"Sometimes I think the eshu are very brave, for that. Star likes it when you scratch her here..." Guiding the other wilder's hands to the right spot.

Brekke has had Squire Valter's help in switching from melee to jousting armor. Now she approaches Stormwake's stable area, and sees Dagmar and friend at Star's. "Hello," she says to them both.

Lale turns and bows "A greeting to you, Chieftain. " Nervous "Dame Dagmar said I could touch the horse"

"Chief. This is Lale."

Brekke nods to Dagmar, then says, "Hello, Lale. If Dame Dagmar has welcomed you to touch the horses, she deems you to be friendly towards them. You are welcome here."

"Thank you. She was telling me about a Farmhold, they have horses. Maybe I could learn to ride there"

"That's where I learned." She considers. "You should find Caspian. Or he should find you."

"I don't know who that is" She admits, and she gently strokes Star as Star likes

"Hm." Brekke nods. "I do not think there are many DeBukes present here today."

"They are more likely to avoid Caer Falken."

Well, there is Sally Mae

"Yes, but if I understand Eshu right, if you need to find Caspian, you will."

"Or he'll find you?"

"He's a DeBuke, too."

"A good point," Brekke nods to Dagmar.
