Frank has considered.

"Cold winter nights. Evergreens... Spruce. With icicles on it. Woodsmoke, but from a small fire. Northern Lights on blue skin. Strong coffee. The color of lichen. The cry of a Falcon."

"Awww" Myrttle Anne smiles "I have fireplace, take a smell and let's make sure it's not too strong, and spruce I have"

After his description, Frank seems almost sheepish, but he nods stoically and bends to the boggan to take in the scents she offers.

A few sniffs, and he can pick just the right ones. One reminds him of a small campfire under an Alaska summer night

He will ask after all the items he describes and adds one more "Yellow and red roses."

"Wonderful" And that's added too. Myrttle Anne says "You want to pay with some of those Pennons bucks, regular cash, or a bit of barter? Torin would be huffy with me if I didn't give you a discount. You being his son in law's brother and all"

"Which would you prefer, Myrtle Anne? Since there's a discount and all. I'd like to help you out."

"All good with me," She assures "I'm gettting by money wise thanks to online orders , a bit of dross is welcome but I know the hold is always open to us. " She ponders "Not sure what service or goods you'd have to trade"

Frank chuckles. "Afraid I only have guitar playing to trade, and there are better musicians than I in the area."

"Well, I sure don't sing" She smiles "But my husband handles the music side. Fair enough, bit of dross or cash your choice. Whatever is easier on you"

"These Pennons Bucks.... can -you- exchange them for cash as a merchant?"

"Oh yes, covered by the Count's steward. Wonderful lady"

Frank nods, and uses his prize money.

"Thank you, Myrtle Anne."

She nods and gives him change the discount was kind but not going to make it free, "Tish tosh. "

He will pocket the scent container. "You need anything while you're here?"

"No, I'm fine. I'll be taking a break in a half hour, but that's what 'out to lunch signs' are for"

He nods, and will wander on.

"Hey da" Siv grabs onto his arm "How goes?"

"It goes well, Siv. You?"

"Been better, been worse. Dagmar won the YEET competition. And I'm reallly hoping we take home the gold in the SHip competetion"

"You will do your best, Siv."

"I will, my parents taught me to always strive for that, but ... really? I hate the idea of losing in a ship related contest. I mean, got a lot of ego invested there" A smile though

Frank nods. "You are an excellent seawoman, Siv."

"Thank you. Looks like we're giving a good showing again"

Frank may notice some wilders of Rivervale, despite not being frequent visitors to the lodge, are wearing lodge tabbards.

A slight frown. "Seems.... to be a lot."

"Huh?" Siv looks about. "What do you mean?"

"I recognize all these wilders but.... I was not aware they had roles in the Lodge."

A grin "Is't it great? It's Goldfinch... which is also part of Rivervale... Sylvi had a chat with them! I think.. or maybe they just decided on their own. They're proud to be of our barony and showing it"

Frank's expression is.... hard to say. But he nods with a slight beard movement. "Good."

"Okay, I really wish I could peek into your brain case right now" She admits "You're pleased?"

"Yes."

"good. Me I was surprised but in a good way as well. "

He nods.

"When is the ship race?"

"About an hour and a half I think... before we have to gether. Still time for shopping or enjoying entertaintment"

"Mm. I have some funds to distribute.... buy you something?"

"I wouldn't say no to an ice cream coin" She admits

"Lead the way."

They go to the ice cream vendor, sugar cones, regular cones, or tiny bowls offered, flavors of all sorts

Frank takes a cup.... a cup of....??

Well, they got vanilla, three types of chocolate...moose tracks, their less known cousin Elk Tracks, Dragon fly ripple (For Frog pooka and sluagh), honey, bubble gum, mint, strawberry, raspberry

"What do you think?" he asks Siv "You can get two scoops if you like." Ah yes, Frank always did tend to indulge his daughters when he could.

Siv grins "Only if you get something for yourself..." She does hold up a finger to the vendor "Two scoops for me, Chocolate, dark and moose tracks"

"Honey and strawberry, please. In a cup."

And both are served. The ice cream is delicious, and Siv savors it with a happy mm, then says "Thank you, da. Cheers me up"

"You're welcome. Something wrong?"

"Piper and Jonas aren't here." She says "I miss them"

"Mm." He nods, listening.
