To say Brekke has a full load is putting it mildy. A balefire reserve that she's not sure how long will last, yet more new kithain after she'd just found a home for the centaurs , and Dirk of all people with romance problems

She mulls all of this as she goes to Caer Falken in search of Prissy so they can have a talk.

It feels like Summer is here in more than one way, and they are burning with energy. Of course, Vali is a grump now, and no doubt Tove and TIffany are on their way too, Autumn will not lack for representation, but good lord, so much wilder energy in the air it's almost exhausting to watch

And she tries NOT to think about Siv's... work places. The girl was so proud to be doing honorable mortal work

Fortunately, she has her current mission to distract her.

Yes, a discussion about romantic relationships. With a redcap. I should have asked Kerri to do this. But I said I would.

And so she arrives at Caer Falken. No, she is not here to see the Count, but is seeking Prissy the redcap.

"prissy?" One thane says "She's not gotten into trouble, Chieftain, though I always keep an exra eye on redcaps. I don't know where she is now, but.. the kitchen staff might . The kith is always hungry as you know"

"Oh, I did not expect she was in trouble, no. Thank you." Kitchen. Of course. She makes her way to the manor's kitchen.

THe kitchens here are huge and constantly going. One could say the same of Kerri, but this feels less cozy, personal, and open. Nobles aren't supposed to be in the kitchen... that's where the sausage gets made! However, they take the Baroness' intrusion gracefully when she khnocks on the door

"I do not mean to interrupt..." she begins.

"Prissy ye say? " One woman smooths her apron "Why she's been a round a lot.. I believe she's currently in the smaller ball room with Ser O'Kort'" she says

It's a testament ot how big this place is that it has a MAIN ball room ,and a smaller one

"Ser O'Kort. Hmm. I do not think I recall him well." Inviting boggan info-sharing.

"Oh, A fiona he is...pretty boy , of course, aren't they all? "

"Mm. Has he been here long?"

"Oh he never misses a formal ball" She says "I think well over two years , but I don't think he's ever been near Rivervale"

"Still, he's got a generous heart if a bit fancy"

"Oh?"

"Oh sure, loves the idea of love ye know Fiona? "

"Well, yes, but...this makes him generous?"

"Give you the time of day to chat it up, or help ye out. I wouldn't say he's always GOOD at what he offers, but while you ight worry he'd drop a sofa, he'd be one of the first to try to help you move it. Sweet boy"

Brekke nods. "Well, thank you. Excuse me." And she's off to the smaller ballroom.

She goes there, and finds the door to the small ballroom double doors, locked. But she hears ..sounds inside it

Reluctantly, she listens, already regretting what she might hear.

"I feel like a retard!" A grouse

That's prissy's voice all right

"It looks smashing on you, scrumptious!" Another voice she is not familar with

"I move better with out it" Prissy complains

"No doubt, but learn to move good with it, and you'll soon have reason TO move with it off" Stevyn, she assumes, answers

Not liking being an eavesdropper, she knocks on the ballroom door.

"My most abject apologies, but I am occupied" Stevyn's voice can be heard. I? Not we?

Prissy doesn't speak

It rings trueish..

"I understand, but I must insist. It is Baroness Brekke. I seek Prissy."

"SHIT!" NOW Prissy can be heard

"Oh dear.. well, she's in here Baroness... can we have ten minutes? " Ser Stevyn asks

A pause. "Yes." She doesn't sound pleased about it, but patient.

Ten minutes later, the door opens, and Prissy peeks out in torn jeans and a shirt that says 'Bad girls WISH they went where I've been'

"Chief? Everything okay at the lodge? Thought that asshole was dead"

"There is no emergency at the Lodge. I am sorry to interrupt," she looks past her to Ser Stevyn, then back to Prissy. "I wish to speak with you."

Lipstick? And not a garish sort, a very delicate shade meant to accent. Sylvi might reccomend it

"So.. talk.." She shrugs, then adds "Your chieftinness? I'm listening"

A curious eyebrow, and another look at Ser Stevyn.

"I think what the Chief is trying to say is, she wanted to talk to you ALONE. I'll withdraw" He bows

"I think it may be better if we spoke in private."

Then a nod to the sidhe. "Thank you."

"My honor, Chieftain" And he withdraws leaving them be. Prisssy shoots him a panicked look, clearly wanting back up or worried about the Gwydion boon
