Thanks to Symon and Jimmy's work, guards are deployed - Bergen is On Watch.

Tiffany and Vali , Tig and Lut, it seems the thanes and knights are in full force

Dagmar has not slept much, only when Frank or Chief mandates a rest.

Her parents have also tried to push that when they can. Jaymes goes on patrols when nnnot working the store (And even then he keeps his guard up and out out). Tove stays mostly at the 'barn' for CJ's sake... but she has food and water and beds ready in case ANY on patrol need an extra bed or couch to crash on

Dag is, honestly, relieved that Tove is not on patrol.

Twobit is a handful. She's ordered not to go outside, yet somehow the little dog always finds her way to the yard, ready to patrol, to protect!

Terriers ARE stubborn.

So on her patrol, Dagmar finds twobit by her feet whenever she's near the barn

"Dog, you should be inside."

Sniff snort

She still thinks she's a real dog- and a guard dog at that

SIGH.

"Well, that was a waste of my time" a familiar voice. Nadeen's

"Nadeen!"

"Dagamar, how goes?" She says. Her own dog by her side. Geez Pyski is growing fast

Ambivalent grunt. "We're pretty sure Brown Dog is gonna make it. Hey Pyski." She crouches and holds out a hand for inspection.

Sniffing, then wag

Ear-rumple.

"Every dog loves you" Nadeen says "And I guess I can see why. I'm so sorry about Brown Dog" And she means it "He's a dork dog, but pure innocence. I'm glad he's going to be okay but.. still, the idea anyone would hurt him is.. it certainly makes one doubt a just world"

Grunt. Nod.

"So you heard all the news? Some jagoff is out to hurt Anne Marie?"

"Yes. I was at Teaneck when I got the news. Baron Kealan is spy master, and I ASSUME looking into it, but the man is frustratingly closed up about his methods "

"Well, that sucks."

"Agreed" She says

"We're not supposed to just hunt him down and beat him up."

and she bends down to pet Twobit "Stop huffing around Pyski, Twobit. She could pin you with a paw even now." Then a look to Dagmar "That's probably best. We want the one who is BEHIND this, not his puppet"

"TwoBit is a Great Dane, in her mind."

"Yeah, and I'd beat up the Daireann, too."

"I should fuss about this or that , but mostly? I want to watch" Nadeen admits "i'm a cold hearted Varich but it's low class to attack someone's dog"

"Exactly."

"But Chief says we shouldn't just hunt him down direct."

"She's probably right .You need to learn your enemy, his weaknesses, his strengths . I's going to take cunning as much as it" She pauses "Shit. I think we need Symon to learn about this. He's.. he's the best"

"He's working on it." She nods.

"I guess horses will have to wait a little bit longer."

"How is Silver Wolf, anyhow?" Taking the distraction from grim current events.

"Quieter, now that the Baron is back safe from the were wolves I think it's a time of.. restoration? " She looks thoughtful "There's a tension there now with some of them but I can't figure it out. Still, there are moments of joy. " An amused beat "Apparently , having seen a video of a bull dog go through an obstacle course, Gwen is certain Ivan can do the same. "

Snerk.

"Bet that's a sight." A pause. "Hunh. Bet TwoBit would do good at agility."

"Oh it's hilarious but..." She looks down.

Twobit sits and looks up, her bright eyes curious. They're talking about her so she is waiting.

"You know, she might be an ace a that. Fae hound or no. She's not afraid of anything"

"And she's smart."

"True." She agrees "When this dies down a bit and we can finally go on that horse quest, maybe that would work"

"Yeah... now, Pyski is smart, but I don't think she's fast for, like, agility."

Psyski tilts her head

"You realize I'm going to tell you MY dog is the best dog in the world, yes?" Nadeen says with a straight face

"Oh, she's a good dog, for sure."

"Just not as fast as Two Bit. Oh.. ha. Ha. Can you imagine trying to teach Brown Dog agility?"

"Oh lord, BrownDog would go into the tunnel, scratch himself, get dcomfy, and take a nap"

"Heh." A nod.
