Well, she'd heard about an attack. Amber eyes scan for signs of it.

but she does hear voices

"Screw you, he's my dad. I made the call. He's easier to protect if he knows what's going on. I can't let him know what's going on less he's chanted. SO.. zap"

"He is now more vulnerable to certain cantrips" Jonas points out

"Would you both please stop talking like I'm not here? " Dr. Lee "is my wife safe?" A tone that shows no room for hemhawing

"I'm married to a wonderful woman and we have truly magical anniverseries. I shall leave it that. "

TXT: How's the car trip going? Symon holding up? Folks are curious

TXT: He didn't go to you?

TXT: To me? NO. Wait. He's not with you? He told his mom about taking a car trip

TXT: Yeah. I'm on patrol here.

The door opens "I will kick your ass if you.." Then Dirk stops "Dags? Everything okay? Mom alright?"

TXT: Okay. Thanks for letting me know

"She's at the Lodge, I'm patrolling."

"Someone tried to hit dad with a dart. Poisoned. But he's okay. We boarded up the window" A stubborn look "I enchanted him. You tell them or don't. I don't care. I need him listening to me"

"Maybe we should keep him at the Lodge?"

"Jonas and I got this" Dirk says "And the ghost snake. We know this house."
