"I'll be trying the dance myself by the way, father. She's got Sylvi and me signed up. I think Nadeen wants to give a show of force"

"She who has Sylvi and you signed up? For dance?"

Frank wipes his beard and puts the napkin down to stand. "That was delicious, Siv, thank you. Excuse me please. I would like to speak with Brekke."

Frank nods, "Keep an eye on things here." and off he goes.

Siv nods, then says one he's gone "Good. They don't get enough couple time to just.. couple. Though, knowing da, he's going to try to talk over what's gone wrong and if they should do something about it etc. That man could find work in a field of down pillows"

Frank battles thrhough the crowds and vendors "BEARDTRIMMER FOR SALE! YOU Ser...atht's looking a bit blocky."

"Manly soap, it will let you smell like cedar chips and stoicness!"

Frank is not tempted.

"Truck Wax. Does your truck need waxing? Truck wax, made specifically FOR Trucks. Do not use on cars"

"Diamond jewelry for your Wife... that'll shut her up!" a nocker jewler calls out

"Fortunes read cheap, comprehended will cost you!" A woman with a crystal ball calls out

Nope. None of them are what he seeks bit the mention of Skyhook does earn a glance.

Looks the skyhook booth has lots of knicknacks, tech aids, and more- lot of space related stuff... but he can see Tweak's touches in a lot of the designs. Why there are even toys for sale ...

and that might be what stops his stride

"Oh you like it, Sir?" The skyhook vendor is a boggan "Makes a great toy for the kids. Plays King of the Road as you move it back and forth"

"How much?" He rumbles quietly.

The price is actually pretty reasonable "We take dross or cash as preferred by you, the customer. I'm afraid we only have two of that particular model."

"I will take both."

The boggan smiles "Happy to do so sir, you want those gift wrapped? It's a bit early but it might save you trouble. We also have a space shuttle toy that launches like a bottle rocket and is darn durable"

"No need to wrap, but I'll take a bag if you have one."

"Yes sir, thank you sir. Please spread the word about Skyhook toys "

And it is paid for, and bagged

Meanwhile, down the way, a pooka Squire in a tabard that reflects Rivervale and Gwydion insignia is trotting wide-eyed up and down the booths, gazing at what is for sale.

"I will. Tell Tweak you sold these to the Rigger."

The boggan looks confused, but to his credit actually makes a note "Yes, Sir. Mister Rigger sir"

Connor looks about for things to... well, he can't buy from Tove's booth as much as he likes her.

Not about THIS

But as the pooka boy walks on by, he hears little zaps!

His ears PERK and he looks about!

at one shop, there's cute tiny chimerical storm in a bottle! It's all black and purple and cranky with the lightning

"I wouldn't say STING... just a light buzz tiny zap jmaybe though if you hold it long enough your hair starts to rise"
