Piper is aghast. “Oh, poor Spencer. It wasn’t even that bad but did you see his expression?

"You mean that 'I will find a tall cliff close my eyes and jump now ' expression?" Siv says

Sylvi frowns at Colton. "It's worse than that. He's embarrassed." She keeps her voice low. "Not-winning when you still did great is one thing. Not-winning when you made a mistake is...much worse."

A solemn nod. “Maybe I could go talk to him... after the judging.”

"I suppose. I could buy him a drink?" Jonas says "it's the ..masculine bonding technique" Jonas says

“Maybe two.”

Colton nods "I get it now." he nods "Maybe I'll buy him a drink after?" he says "Tell him about some of my screw ups? I've had doozies"

(Spencer may end up in a better mood but drunk later)

"Maybe. I...I kind of want to talk to him right now...." She hesitates.

"Lord Nortthon ap Leanhaun... from the County of Thorndew"

Oh, that gets her distracted. She frowns at the competitor taking the stage.

“Lord? Is that a baron?” She asks Siv.

So introduced Nortthon begins to sing a very smoldering version of "Under my thumb" ala the Rolling stones. Arrogant... and using that for raw sex appeal that.. disturbingly, might work

Siv says "Sometimes, other times it's a landed knight or just a knight allowed the the honor, like me being lady captain"

"Ugh. Of course a Leanhaun would choose that stupid song." Sylvi mutters.

Colton frowns "It's practically their motto for how they treat their artists"

but quite a few women and gals in the crowd coo. And it IS well performed

Jonas looks around as if expecting an attack, then says "No I guess Rover Olgar isn't here"

Worse, to those that dislike the house, and dislike the arrogant look.. it appears Nortthon has taken the lead!

As he steps off.

Sylvi does NOT add to the applause, not even politely.

Struts off

swaggers off!

"If you still want to talk to Spencer I understand" Colton says "You and he have an old friendship"

Sylvi gives the Leanhaun's performance a final eye roll, then looks to Colton. "You won't mind? I won't abandon you for long," she promises.

"I'll restock our beverages" He says

"Next up, ‘Sir’ Alan O’Dale', believed to be possibly from the Duchy of Bluegrass"

"Hmmph. Technically it was well played." Piper sticks her tongue out though.

She smiles and gives him a quick kiss before making her way over to where Spencer is bravely seeing through the rest of the competition.

"Hey," she says quietly as she approaches.

Colton enjoys the quick kiss and nods her off

"I don't like Leanhaun" Siv mutters "not even a little"

The Rooster minstrel struts up onto the stage, doffing his cap to the judges and then starts strumming his lute. Soon the familiar strains of an old world tune are recognized.

And Sylvi finds Spencer doing his best to shrink behind family

Spencer sees her "oh. .hey. yes. I know I said Steven." Grumble

“OHHHH, My Kerri’s thigh’s are no longer open...
My Kerri’s thighs are closed to me!
My Kerri’s thighs are closed for business,
It’s some other vendor for me!

Bring back, bring back, bring back that sensuous meat, the meat!

He waves to the audience, encouraging them all to pick up the chorus!

“Bring back, bring back, bring back my Kerri thigh meat!”

And some join in. Some break out laughing

"Hey, I..." Sylvi starts, and then stops short when the rooster starts singing.

And he gives a rooster's clucking to the plucked refrain.

Spencer blinks "Oh my god, the feathered fiend is a menace"

And then she stares, jaw dropped, at the rest of the crowd. The laughing crowd.

Colton is not laughing, he's reaching rasing his full beverage and winding up a pitch. It might get him thrown out if caught but... damn it, that's the mother of his lady

Sylvi's only thought is that she wishes she had a drink to throw, too. She GLARES at the rooster.

And the drink hurls towards the rooster but hit his lute.. it skiffs up, and rains down splattering Tove, ruining her blouse

"The SKY is FALLING! BA-GOCK! BA GAWWWWK!" The rooster flaps and flails his arms, song interrupted, and flees!

The judges look frozen. Clearly this will be a.. secret vote. yes. Far from the eyes of any towering blue giants

Colton covers his mouth in horror and makes his way towards Tove
