The Count holds up a finger to to Sir Drifala then nods to Connor, but focuses on Baroness Brekke "Wait, you think she would listen to me? I understand normally sidhe nobles aren't even allowed. "

Brekke shakes her head. "She will not agree to your rule, Excellency, I am sure of that. But if your people insist that I am mistaken, then perhaps you need to hear it from her. If she will come, you may speak together here. Safely."

“Chieftain Clem? She’s smarter than the average bear. And I’ve known some REALLY smart bears.” He chirps.

"You would host this meeting?" The Count says "Most generous, and she might be more at ease"

Brekke nods. "Dame Kerri, will you go and make the request for Chieftain Clem and her party to join us as soon as possible?"

Connor claps. “A party!”

“Can I help make a cake?”

"Absolutely, Chi-- Baroness." And Kerri is off.

Brekke raises a brow at Connor. "If that is what you wish to do, perhaps Squire Brogan could help you."

"this is most gracious" The Count says

"Forgive me, your excellency . If we are to be waiting, I think I'll wait on the porch" the knight says

"We should all wait outside, then. It is a beautiful day...and the Count has not yet seen the stables." Brekke rises. "Excellency..." she invites him to precede her to the door.

“A falcon cake! Just you wait!” And he darts off to find good ol Brogie.

And off they go.

If the knight had hoped to make a private call to someone, that is..somewhat stimied'

"I am sure you will want Sir Drifala to attend you, Excellency. Let me show you our stables. They are small, compared to some, but we are pleased with our steeds."

Drifala has already seen the horses, but Brekke is proud to show them off to Goldenwing.

"Small it maybe, but high quality. These are good bloodlines." He says with appreciateion then "Can.. Can I feed one of them an apple or something?"

"Would you like to? We keep some here." Brekke goes to the apple barrel and gets one out, using her belt knife to cut it in pieces before handing it over.

"I would, thank you" And he feeds them gently. Stormwake looks at Brekke as if to say 'nOt sure this one is a warrior' but tolerates him

Surely Spark is his usual goofy self.

Brekke keeps half an eye on Sir Drifala at all times.

Soon, the sounds of footsteps from the Bridge.

And the Knight notices the scruitney

"Mm. It sounds as though they return."

And he looks up from feeding the Horses and cleans his hands "Oh well I."

Clem shows up ,dress fluttering , Teesha by her side

Soon enough, Kerri leads the way back. Brekke nods as she sees Clem and her well-chosen bodyguard.

Stepping forward, Brekke gives Clem a quick look of keep it calm, then turns to the Count. "Count Obeithiol Goldenwing ap Gwydion, Sir Drifala, these are Chieftain Clementine DeBuke and Teesha DeBuke. I felt it important for you to meet and speak."

"Nice to meet you, Obelithaiol" Clem holds out her hand

He stares at it, as if he's nto sure how to handle someone who doesn't bow

"Excellency, it is customary to shake hands."

"Oh, of course" And he does

" I understand you have some questions about the Farm" Clem says

Brekke takes a step back from be Chieftain and Count...but closer to the knight.

"Well, ah..." A pause "I think good manners compell me to share my regrets for your ..a Hearth's health? " He says "But a few yes."

"Well," Clem says surprised

"Thank you for your concern" Clem adds

There's a sound down in the parking lot; the rumbleroar of a large engine.

"So, you're farm is not in chaos and discord?" He says

Clem blinks "Chaos and discord?" A look to the Chieftain Brekke

Brekke nods. "This is what the Excellency has been told by others, including the knight here....that the Farmhold is in such discord that it is in chaos and in need of aid and rescue."

Some sounds in the front of the house.

The group is by the stables, and Brekke turns to see Frank. "Sir Franklyn," she calls, beckoning him to come over, and looking very serious.

An eyebrow, but he obeys.

"Interesting" Clem looks over " Drifala.. I might take offense over that."

The knight says "You are welcome to. Your hold has refused to recognize the Accords. And thus have no protection under the High King's law. Be glad such an honorable Falcon seeks to bring it to order. "

Teesha's eyes narrow
