She takes a deep breath. "Okay, so...you're on the team, and so is Lucita. I'm going to ask Dagmar, Symon, Dirk, and Gerd." A grin. "Lucky seven."

"Possibly. I mean I could act all more lorey than thou but the truth is I don't know either" Then at the list "Dagmar and Dirk? Good. I mean, no offense but we need some warriors on this. I know Dagmar is smarter than folks give her credit for, but when the fight is going I kind of appreciate someone to hide behind"

"I hear you. I mean, I'm no slouch, but when it comes to defending others I'd like to have other stronger fighters."

"I'll try to get back to you tomorrow. Gotta talk to everybody else, too, and ask if they want to join us."

"Good luck" he says

"You too!" She smiles and sees herself out.

And off she goes. That's two, three if she counts herself. Four more to snare

So Sylvi heads next to the Barn.

And off she goes to snag Dagmar she can ear Tove singing

A smile. Hearing Tove sing is almost always a pleasure...unless it's a sad song, in which case it feels deeply tragic. She waits for a pause in the song to knock on the door.

"Sittin' in a restaurant and she walked by
I seem to recall that certain look in your eye
I said, "Who is that?" you said with a smile

"Maybe that explains the last two weeks

Working late again I ask, "Who with?"

She hung up when I asked her name

Then a pause at the knock, and Tove opens the door "Sylvi! Hello. "

"Hi, Tove!" She grins. "Sounds like you're calling Odysseus a two-timer. Which, okay, he was."

"Ha. It's an old Song By Sylvia... I guess cross over country? But I like the mythic angle. Come in, can I get you a drink or snack?"

"Oh, I'm okay, really, thanks. I was wondering if Dagmar is around?"

"A good question" SHe says embarrassed, "I may have got caught up in singing and lost a daughter. CJ is with dad so I got time to work on more music. Second." She moves to the stairs and and calls up "DAGMAR? Oh Daughter mine? Have I lost you through neglect?"

"I'M WORKING!"

"Well, Sylvi is hoping to talk to you" tove declares

She blinks. "Working?" she asks Tove.

"COMING!"

Thunder down the stairs. Dagmar appears, a few curls of wood sticking to her clothes.

"Woodwork" A nod

"Hey, Dagmar." Sylvi grins. "Oooh, whatcha making?"

"Carving. Making a.. like.. welll.." Blush.

"Like, I had this idea for a gryphon, but, like, a dog instead?"

Tove smiles "Do I need to go so you two can conspire?"

"For Connor."

"Is that dumb? Like, a dog and falcon, cause, like... gwydion..."

"Oh! Cute...so he'll have a winged critter to go with Sparky. Why would that be dumb? I like it!"

Shrug.

To Tove's question, she says, "Well, maybe we can talk in Dagmar's room? Or... somewhere?"

"talk anywhere you want, I'll be in the She Shed doing music" A smile from tove "Got to keep recordings out." Then a kiss on Dagmar's head "And Connor will love it. PLay hostess with your guest and friend. you know where to find me" And she slips out

"Thanks, Tove," Sylvi says.

"Cool..."

"Sylvi, need anything?" She checks the fridge, and starts listing off beverage options.

"No, I'm good, thanks. And I'm here on a mission." She puts a wry tone on the word, and grins.

"Mission?" Perk.

She nods. "Yeah. You know the Cookies?"

"Oh yeah. They were cool..." A sudden blush. "Um."

"Yeah. Um. I turned satyr, and Tove got to be a Selkie... your mom had a rought time, though. Sluagh."

"Yeah. She doesn't want to talk about it. Ever. I liked being a Piskey, but I know I made you crazy." A shrug.

"So...anyway...I need to find more Cookies and bring them somewhere."

"Oh... hunh. I don't know where they came from to start with..."

"I've got Lucita and Zane agreed to come along, already. It's probably going to be a Dreaming thing, but maybe we'll only have to go to a Market."

"But, like, I'm game to try? The Dreaming makes sense."

"Tove's talked about Markets, but I've never been to one."

"I've been, but it's been a while. Some get pretty dangerous. And Zane says that there's three namers in the Dreaming: the Butcher, the Baker, and the Candlestickmaker. The Baker's the one who makes the kith-changing cookies."
