Siv maybe gone, but clearly she is grateful, for Tove calls down "Dagmar? Breakfast.. and a gift"

"Huh?" Tromp tromp tromp down the stairs. She has morning-hair, honey-colored main sticking out in all directions.

Tove doesn't make much of that, her daughter will 'tame it' before going out (She hopes) , "Breakfast" She repeats, "And a gift."

Her father raises his cup of coffee and grunts ("Morning")

And there is something with a bow on it hanging over a kitchen chair. the bow is haphazardly applied, but there's a note to it that says 'To Dagmar, thought of you- enjoy'

Brow.

Some sort of clothing but she can't tell what from this angle with the bow and such

She picks up the gift.

That's Siv's newer fancier handwriting on the note! and... as for the apparel? She can see it now:

"well..."

Jaymes eyes it and grunts ("Unless that's really light material, it's the wrong season for that. " ) A mmm ("We could give it back")

"What? No!"

"It won't always be ungodly hot!"

Tove covers her mouth with her hand

Jaymes says "mmm well... I suppose." Still not sold on it.

Or is he just doing the dad thing? Probably doing the dad thing

"It's... a lot." She agrees.

"But it's still, like, thoughtful?"

"She probably got a good deal on it as it is out of season," Tove says "And that's smart bargain shopping. But I did not think our peanut brittle was THAT good."

At that Jaymes brows ("It was VERY Good") having tested a sample he must defend the cooking of his wife and daughter... and daughter's squire.

"It's nice."

"Now, have breakfast," Her mom says "French toast, and a bit of bacon and sausage on the side." A look over at Jaymes "Or if your father's case, Bacon and Sausage with a bit of French Toast on the side"

A bit of a chewing sound from Jaymes' table ("No regrets")

"more french toast for me, then."

"We have plenty of both" She assures and soon joins them , all three set up. Two types of Syrup

Twobit hovers under the table hopefully

She scoots her chair into place before leaning over to tickle CJ in his bouncer.

CJ gives a baby chime of laughter

The parents smile at that

And.. Dagmar has a text!

Mmm. Food. Check phone. Sneak TwoBit a bit of bacon.

A grunt from dad. Though whether it's from the phone at the table, or sneaking food to twobit is hard to say

oh, wait... dad becomes CLUMSY around twobit at times... so it's probably the phone

TXT (From Nadeen): You never did see my NEW Sword.

"Nadeen has a new sword!"

Jaymes nods "She guarded some trods while we raided" A shrug

"nice for her" Tove says

TXT: well I need to! but brkfst, so dad judging phone

"And YOU guarded the fire and helped the Chief."

TXT: Argh. Dads are the WORST. Talk to later

Of course, the 'dads are the worst' is just code for understanding sometimes you gotta behave, something few teen daughters ADMIT to.

Twobit tears happily at the bit of bacon that somehow finds its way below the table

"Maybe I'll go check it out later."

"Sounds good" her mom says "I know Nadeen gets bored .. the Browns do their best to protect her, as they should"

"But she does get cooped up"

"But being cooped up sucks."

"Eh" Jaymes says ("She's clever. She can slip out when you ask her to")
