Adam gets the stuffing hugged out of him by his mother when he gets home.

Kyle is more reserved, but says "Are you okay, son?"

"Yeah, fine. Not a scratch." He shrugs. No big deal.

Brenda laughs "Well, YOU maybe fine but I was a nervous wreck. Nab's been bouncing off the walls"

"I heard it got really ugly" His father says "Are the others hurt badly?"

"It looked like a couple people got hit. The Chief seemed .... really tired, and she got hit too. I was on the truck so other than a fight with some redcaps I didn't see much action. Once the people were in the trailer we left."

"Adam..." A pause from his mom.. "I think you came closer to trouble than you realized"

She's looking at the back of his shirt

"What?" he cranes his head to see down his own back.

There's a huge almost soft ball sized section of the back of his shirt missing... in a perfect teeth pattern. His mom lifts it a bit so he can see it and pales. "I think soemone was going for the back of your neck and.. missed"

"Huh...." Adam examines it as well, and strips the shirt off to do so. "Cool."

"I need a drink" Brenda declares

"WOW" Kyle says "That IS kind of cool"

Brenda shoots her husband a look

"Probably one of those redcaps. One tried to bite my arm, too. Missed, though."

"No kidding , you must have been ducking and weaving through out the fight" Kyle nods "That foot work they're trying to teach us?"

"Yeah. It's like basketball drills."

Brenda takes a shot of a local drink called 'Kerri's Comfort' (Whether Kerri has been told of this nick name or not is another matter) and finds it suitable

"If the opposiing team was allowed to eat you" He says

"I guess. He didn't, though!"

"Nope" Kyle nods looking impressed

Adam balls up the shirt and shoots it into the trash.

A voice nearby "geez Adam let's wait till your folks are out of the room" Nabuni grins

Adam grins and looks for her.

She grows full sized and hugs him with a half tackle "Oh geez I was so scared for you!" A kiss on the cheek and she looks him over "Oh not a mark..." A nose wrinkle "Bit sweaty though"

He hugs her back, and nuzzles her hair. "You didn't have to be scared, I got shut out of most of the fighting really." He glances at his folks. "Maybe I should shower."

"Probably" Kyle nods

Brenda says "I didn't want to say anything but..yes"

Nab laughs "Good thing I'm here or it would have taken a bit.." She kisses him on the lips this time "Glad you were out of the worst of it but I bet you weren't bored."

"Not during the fight, true." He partially agrees. "Ok, I'll go shower." But, he keeps his arm around Nab.

"Uhmm might be able to shower easier without Nab blocking the water" Kyle raises a brow

"I'tso kay, Kyle. He fought hard and if Nab and he want to.. clean up, then.." Brenda lets it slide

Adam grins. "I'll be cleaner if she gets my back." He points out. "Nab?"

""Wellll.." Nab says "I COULD hold the washcloth" A grin and up sshe goes with him

Adam seems a bit quiet, but he's not hurt or sulking.

As they go up, Nab says "You sure you're okay? You seem a bit quiet. And..well," She says stroking fingers over his chin

"Mmph."

"Dunno. I think I kinda wanted it to be... more. You know? I wanted to -do- more. And I really hated Piper's job." He scowls.

"PIper went incognito right? And you couldn't help her that way?" She says

Adam strips and starts the water. "She went as bait."

She kisses him

Then parts ."Sorry. You looked so distressed

"

Then she says "You were needed. You were with the Mountain right? Unless it was wasting HIS time, it wasnt' wasting yours. Piper kknows that"

He kisses her back, of course, and takes comfort in her touch. "Yeah, I was in the truck and then the redcaps came and we jumped out and fought them down and then the Mountain loaded the slaves into the trailer and we drove them out of there. Well, the Mountain did. I just rode along. Mr. Lut was in the trailer with the slaves."

And, water warm, he gets in the shower; he'll draw her in too if she allows.

"Well, there you go!" She says "If you guys hadn't been there those redcaps might have really screwed the plan up" She starts to wash him from behind "Four redcaps is nothing to sneeze at."

"I only got one." He reports.

"Yeah, but there's not a mark on you.. so they got NONE of you," Singular you, "You win, they suck. Hahha on them"

"Yeah." He scrubs efficiently.
