"Ah shucks, Tall is nice, but actually.." He grins "I'm SUPER sized" And shakes her hand

She shakes his hand, chuckling inwardly. "Well, hi Super-sized, I'm Piper." Stealing a dad joke on him! "And I appreciate the invite, something sure smells good."

"Yup... got eggs, Bacon, and toast... please tell me you like at least one of these things" To his credit he has kept them seperate. Being a super has it's perks. His kitchen is quite roomy.

The toast has opotions of butter, honey (What are the odds) , and jellies and jams

"Ooh, you got a nice spread here. Let's say some eggs, toast and honey with some of that marmalade, and I'll enjoy the smell of the bacon. "

"Oh I like her, she's got good taste" Osborn Dyer grins as he starts up to prepare, "No bacon? Ooo sorry, you're one of the Vegitarian folk? Want me to put the meat away? I can eat it later?"

"No, it's purely my own choice - and it's moral, not culinary, so if I can still SMELL the bacon, it's not cheating, and it's almost as good. I do miss the taste." She admits. "So please enjoy! Ooh, is that sourdough? Nice! I need to get a toaster, I can make toast. It's one of my specialties."

"you know, when you smell something, it means little meat particles are in your nose.. it's like you sniff swallowed" RIkki says with a grin

She puts on a saintly look of forbearance. "Sacrifices must be made..." Spreading her toast thickly with butter.

"So what brought you fine fair folk to Rivervale?"

"Great job offer " Mr. Dyer says

"I hear that... jobs are tough to find right now."

"I don't suppose you need any babysitting?" A grin over at Rikki.

"Well, " He looks over at Rikki. The wilder girl looks amused

"There are times she's a bit of a handful... I just let her run feral." He says "Tikki's the one who decided to self domesticate."

"Self domesticate? Has he settled down to be a mild-mannered housecat?"

"Snake bit. Her venom has worked its way to where blood collects into a guy" A snort from Rikki "Serves him right. Love is for saps, and losers... makes you dumb"

Mr. Dyer looks at his daughter "Don't worry honey I pray for you to get your chance to be stupid and I am sure it will happen" Then he turns to Piper "Eden is a nice girl. Never seen Tikki just tumble like that"

"She does seem nice. Maybe it was just... love at first bite?" A grin.

"ha. We'll get along fine" Osborne says "Now, how do you like your room? everything good? Water pressure okay?"

"So far, so great. The view is lovely, I haven't tried the AC yet - I like it warm and would rather have an open window and a fan. The pressure was good for a quick shower. I haven't tried a bath yet - am hoping that the water heater is up for a few good soaks?"

"And.. I heard rumours that there may be a pool opening on site?" Hopeful.

"Water heart is good, if not we'll get Edgar to make it so. He's our handyman. And yes, pool is under construction"

A siiiigh. "Any chance it will be open before the weather leaves us to go south? I can help out, if you need me to carry buckets to fill it up, I will!"

"Huh." He says then looks to Rikki who is..tapping her foot. "You are not the first person to want that project hurried up."

"Is the holdup due to manual labor? All hands on deck! If it's paperwork, I'm not sure I can help out."

Mr. Dyer says "You seem a bit ah.. short for a forklift"

A snort. "No, but I don't think you need a class C license to drive one..." a grin.

"I just got the paperwork today" he says

Rikki looks surprised at this

A huge grin! "That's a stroke in the right direction!"

"Now I'm going to have to hire the workers.. there's a construction family of boggans and a beaver pooka but.." A look "BUT someone might have played a prank on them and they're miffed at us."

Rikki winces.

She looks thoughtful. "Which one is upset, the family or the beaver pook?"

"The patriarch and owner of the company. Boggan fellow"

"Hm, that's a toughie. The beaver pooka I could maybe see placating with something from Tove, or she might know a recommendation. What's his name? Maybe I can ask around."

"Hayes. Mister Hayes I think."

"Well - Rikki, do you mind if I stick my nose in here uninvited? I'm all for helping out if it gets us closer to poolside."

"Well, ah.. i'm not allowed in his state" Rikki says

"On his property" Clarifies Mr. Dyer "I can hire him, but he says he's charging double if he takes it. And that's out of the fund entrusted to me by the owner."

A wide eyed glance over at Rikki. "What did you DO?"

"Some crazy troll might have animated his toupe at a bad time" A cough

She snorts and almost coughs on a bite of toast! Quickly washing it down with a sip of tea. "That sounds... terrible.."

"he and his wife's anniversery was a bad time" Her father agrees

A grin. "Well, I have an idea, I can't promise it will work, but it probably won't hurt. Thanks for breakfast!" Excited to get on the move.

Rikki sighs

"Sure. " He gives instructions to the Hayes house hold if asked.. "And.. if you can make peace or at least drive down the price we'd be grateful"

A salute. "Aye, Super!" And she heads out, back to her room to think this over for a bit with a little Thinking tunes on the radio.
