"Please, no sword waving in the House" Marsha says , then adds "And Piper, don't you dare giggle"

Marsha's own lips twitch but she gives piper a finger wag.

"heh" The Professor says then burries his face in his coffee.

"I give up," Marsha replies after shooting her husband a look "Go ahead , Piper"

A siiigh, then a grin over to professor. "Some may say the pen is mightier..." And she gives in the the giggles. "Okay, we should get out of here."

"Yes yes, Dagmar, thank you for taking Basil on the tour as it were..." The Professor says "Please inform the Chief, Hearth, and or Mountain that Basil will be staying with us."

Basil touches the ring again, and INSTANTLY the armor and weapon are gone again, "Okay, that's handy."

Just like that. Instant Armor and weapon storage , summong, and fitting.

"Oh... I wonder if that works if someone else is wearing it?"

"Got me, I just found out a bout having horns, now I've got an armory inside a ring" he says

"Well, if you want to test it out, I'm game. And there are fighting yards at the lodge too..." Starting to walk that way.

Dagmar is... purple. yes, during the sword convo.

"Seriously handy treasure. Maybe you were a warrior in a past life..."

"Are satyrs normally warriors?" He moves on after "Way folks were talking thought you trolls were the warrior caste"

Brow furrow. "Well, there's stereotypes about kiths, maybe... and stuff they are dreamed of, and have gifts for... but, like, how does being a warrior go against being passionate?"

"So, sure. Satyrs can fight, or brew, or be philosophers or politicians, or, well... casanovas. Or all of those things in one person, yeah?"

"Or like my mom - she's strong, she can and will fight, but she's an artist and a musician."

"I guess you got a point," He nods "Poet warriors , heck, warrior kings, have historical parallels and stuff. I don't know if it's bullshit, but I've heard of cultures where a King was judged on how well he danced."

Piper is head of them, but can still hear things.

"Yeah? That's pretty cool."

"So, my place is just ahead. If it weren't for the trees, you'd see it already."

"Yeah? The 'Barn' you called it right?"

"Yeah..." And soon, it is apparent why - the "Barn" is a big, old-fashioned Dutch Colonial, with an arched roof. It has been restored with care, the clapboard freshly painted and with clusters of marigolds lining the walk. A largeish... birdhouse?... shaped like a pagoda is near the side door where Dagmar leads. It seems the front entryway is for formal affairs, the kitchen is where friends and family approach.

"Dagmar, you are back, did you bring fruit?" Snow calls from a roof

"If you come in, there's plums."

Dag opens the door for the two satyrs. "MOM, DAD, I'M HOME."

"The monkey is talking" Basil whispers

"Yeah, that's Snow."

"Hello, new Satyr! I am snow. Do you have fruit? Do not feel too bad if you do not have fruit, I too have been fruitless, it is sad, " A sigh

"But, plums will fix!"

"Good." Tove says "I need you to tell me I'm not a terrible mother for sending your little brother on a picnic with your grandfather and his date"

"You are not a terrible mother, Torin will love it, and Myrtle will keep him out of trouble."

"Tove, this is Basil, he's Piper's cousin and brand-spanking new." Dagmar snags a plum from the hanging basket and lobs it at the monkey.

"Oh my!" Tove says "ANother satyr, of course.. the Wayburtons are catching up"

"I'm an affirmative action Chrysialis" Basil says smiling.
