"It's natural," Olgar assures Jaymes.

"Just seems.. crowded, they keep coming" Jaymes makes a face

"Frank, will you tell your brother from another life that when babies are born, the female part of whatever tribe you're in rally forces and yes, they bring things to your front door? Jaymes here is acting like it's an invasion" The Rover snorts

"They won't leave us alone" Jaymes grumbles "Four boggans a day"

"It's only BEEN a day" Olgar points out.

"Never decline, or refuse, offers or requests for food, money, or friendship."

"If you can possibly help it."

"I.. well, I just want things.. normalish?" Jaymes grunts

"hahahahha.. " Olgar belly laughs at Jaymes "Hahha.. Oh... you're serious? "

Jaymes glares at Olgar, then looks to his brother "he's saying normalish is gone?"

Frank nods.

"You have a new normal."

"I.. mmm " A sigh "Food, money, or friendship. I.. already provide less money than Tove does when her sales are up." Jaymes says "But she's my wife. For strangers..."

"They're not strangers," Olgar says "They're community . Look. It took me a bit to get it through my head too. When Sylvi was born, I was still 'on the fence' for a lot of locals despite protecting their asses. But Sylvi, turns out, was a diplomat even then... folks might be dubious about me, but she charmed the socks off the them right away, and they wanted to help. The big news is.. it's not about you anymore. Can't be. But that comes with some odd benefits. Every parent out there now sees you as a fellow parent"

"If you can -help- it. You have your own responsibilities to honor first." Frank agrees. "But if you can't give money, perhaps offer friendship, which you can afford. Or food. And vice versa."

Frank grunts rare agreement with Olgar.

"Because I have a kid they want to help me?" Dubious brow from Jaymes

"Kind of oh, do NOT Lose your temper the first time someone basically insults your parenting skills. Boy did Kerri have to give me a talk there " Olgar admits

"Friendship.. Food..paying it back" Jaymes says

Frank nods to Jaymes.

Then Jaymes says "But I've BEEN a parent. Dagmar's a great kid!"

"Kids need different things at different times as they develop."

"You done good," Olgar assures, "But CJ isn't goiing to make you park in the bushes on the way to school...and parents see a teenager and assume that 'helping you' involves offering you a beer or a wine cooler"

Jaymes nods to both "I ...I'm a private person but I'll try."

Torin comes out "Jaymes. Got a situation?"

Jaymes drops what he' s doing and looks for his weapon "On it! Get the baby safe and I'll fight whatever it is.. is it medical? Do we need to get to a hospital?" The normally QUIET man seems verbose in his concerns.

Torin blinks 'no. I just wanted you to know i was getting that camera thing from your house."

Frank can read Jaymes factial expresion. He's pondering shaking his father in law for scaring the shit out of him

And Jaymes then nods, with great effort "Sure. You get that."

Torin nods, smiles, and heads off

Frank clears his throat.

Jaymes growls low

"You'll get used to it. Better, keep a camera on you at all times."

"Camera? Oh.. uh.. sure? " Baffled

"You're going to be taking a lot of pictures. A -LOT-." Frank informs. "Easier if you have a camera on you."

Tove and Kerri are moving at a slow jog/brisk walk "I swear," Tove says "I used to be able to move so much easier than this. I really did think it would just.. pop back when I was done. Foolish I guess."

"Hark, it is our better halves" Olgar looks up

""Olgar, I hope you're not scaring poor Jaymes," Kerri says with a grin."

"Oh no, that was Torin's job." Torin did not go with the gals so isn't here, and Olgar says "he wanted to get the camera, but said itw as 'a situation' to Jaymes"

Jaymes grunts, irritated at the memory of it.

"I was sitting right here, Olgar, I know what he said." Hrumph.

"He's telling us, Frank," Kerri points out with a grin. "Jaymes, you'll be glad to know that your daughter seems to be completely smitten with the baby." She hands Tove off to her husband, more or less.

Tove says "Oh, that's my fault. I wanted.. " She looks at Jaymes "yes, Dagmar is.. so gentle with her, so sweet"

Jaymes' grumpiness vanishes "yes?"

"yes" Tove assures.

Olgar moves to kiss Kerri "How goes it with the baby patrol?"

"So far, so good," Kerri says after returning the kiss. "Tove's got the basics about changing and bathing. You get lessons next, Jaymes," Kerri points out.

Jaymes and Toves are smiling as the later explains how GREAT Dagmar is with her little brother, then Jaymes nods "Okay... is Bathing that hard? Just..dip right?"

"Don't worry, Tove. I'll teach him, so you won't be tempted to murder him too often."
