Adam knocks it out of the way. "Yeah."

And the two go back and forth. Adam is better, but not as used to spears so it evens out a bit. "Did you know she once freed like over a hundred slaves? It's how she got her name."

Block, barely, and he counters, ,but doesn't make it flow like a true adept would.

Adam pushes his advantage, strike and counter-strike.

And Zane's own experience saves him from th strike, but not a counter stirke. "Damn.. dude, if I thought there was anything that was inheritied about Houses I'd talk about how Fiona that move was" A grin . rubbing at where he got whacked, he smiles "You learning anything more about the Houses?"

Adam stays on guard, but doesn't attack again. "Nah."

A shrug.

"You want one commonr's take on it all? "

"I guess?"

"Well, we can beat up on each other while I do it," he offers with an easy smile "Just name a House I'll tell you my view"

Another shrug. "I mean..... I guess I know about Gwydion. And that Liam one. And I've heard about Fiona, a little. Other than that, just... names."

Zane makes a swoosh for the legs of his friend "Fiona are satyrs favorite house often. They're heavy into the romance, the joy devive, the action. Fearless , fantastic archers, and they claim to be as good as Gwydions in the sword though the Gwydions shake their head at such. But they are a warrior lover House I guess? Fiona have a silver lion on a red field as their symbol."

"Yeah?" He jumps, avoids the strike, counter-strikes; off balance, he doesn't connect.

"Yeah, they tend to be the wildest of the seelie houses... sort of.. I mean, it's like satyr morals but with courtly love to the extreme. A Gwydion will do the whole 'for honor' and save you , a Fiona might save you to impress his lady.. . or, because you're trying to rescue a lady. anything for love I guess?"

"Guess there aren't any of that House around here, then."

"oh, there are others in other parts of the County .And Siv is trying to learn to be one. But they don't seem in great numbers. " He says "let's see.. Liam you know about..Oathbroken, to some they 'feel wrong'... but the price seems to be more on the reception. They're called a wise house as they keep records like no body's business and often have insight... but weird, while they'll take a lot of abuse, you do NOT screw with mortals around them, even the non dreamers. A Liam will go from sheep to German shepherd if you try to hurt a mortal around them. Some say they're finally on the rise... but I don't know, for every Liam you see in a position of respect you hear about three others who are like.. hobos with swords or meek librarians hiding out of sight"

"Yeah. Siv hasn't been around." He acknowledges. "Everyone tells me the Mountain's ok, and I guess if the Chief says so....."

"He's cool... but I hear you, hard to fight that prickling on the back of your neck," Zane says "Okay... then there's the Eiluned. . Sneaky sons of guns. They're kind of two faced in that they want to know everyone's secrets, but don't want you prying into theirs. Oh, and they're probably the best magicians"

"Yeah? That's gotta get your interest."

"well yeah, but they're... " He ponders "They're also inclined to intrigues, and game of thrones kind of rule." He stops "Okay, to be honest, most Eiluned probably find game of thrones level intrigue 'adorably amateur'. They're not as good as their Unseelie sibling House the Ailil, but they're better than most mortal writers can imagine."

Adam STRIKES!

"Ooooff" Nailed and Zane ends up on his ass "Okay, speaking of treachery.."

Adam smirks. "Hey, hate the game not the player."

"I'm a satyr, we can handle many emotions at once and hate you both " A grin though and he gets back up for another round, "Okay... another house.. you want me to go on about Beaumayn, Dougal, Gwyds or Scathach?"

"Gwydion I know. The Chief, and Dagmar. Scathach, I've heard of.... aren't they in that place at Teaneck?"

"Yeah, and they are the weirdos of the Sidhe Houses.. most of them, the Baron is an exception, are modernists. They bailed on the whole rulership thing. Went the Changeling way... and went kind of ninja on it. They're almost as mysterious as the Eiluned. Maybe more so. Former nobles who no longer noble. They're quiet.. and they're deadly." A smirk "Fart jokes here...but don't cross them lightly"

"What about the others? Bow-man and.... Dougal?"

"Beumayn, it's French, and Sir Vali is of that house, though Honestly he's not like most Beaumayn I know. Not that I know many. They're as varied as any, but not known for humor. They're a very sad sort of House... get glimpses into the future.. the burden of knowing... there are dark rumors about some prison sentence almost all of them served."

"But They're Seelie. Very much so. "

A shrug. "Does that matter much?"

"It tells you a bit more what to expect"

"I guess." He agrees.

"Also, the Unseelie Houses dont' seem to like them.. I mean, some of the Seelie ones dont' either? But Balor, Ailil, and Leanhaun ahve a real hate on them for some reason." Whirl "Sneak attack side swipe satyr strike!"

Adam tries to block!

And he does, though it makes him stagger

"I shouldn't call that shot out loud maybe?" the satyr realizes sheepishly

"Probably not." Adam agrees, and counter-strikes.

Tenetative block "The Dougal are ... well, Steampunk Sidhe? I don't know many... they love crafts and mechanics as much as nockers some of them, others build more standard things....they've got a system of Apprentice, Journeyman, Master to go with the noble titles and they all are . uhm. differently abled? But they counter it with like crafted limbs or special glasses or whatever it takes. Frankly the only one I ever talked to for more than five minutes bored me to tears"

"Yeah." Adam backs off just a bit. "Sounds boring."

"Well, I guess it depends on if you're into the same thing. If you like, weaponsmithing, there's a Dougal for that" He says

"Yeah?" Some interest. "Are there any of them around here?"

"Hackensack I think..but oh.. Sir Colton now works with a Chief who is Dougal.. Hewitt? up in Rome New York..."

Adam thinks about that... frowns. "Yeah, but he's Sylvi's boyfriend." A puff of irritation.

"Yeah, but who knows.. maybe you'll visit anyway"

"Maybe." But he seems unconvinced. The kinain paces around.

"Something bug you about that?" He notices the mood

"Nah. Just.... bored." he does seem frustrated; the sparring helped a bit but the shine has dimmed.

"Hey, let's take a break... get a drink of water , and then you know, if you want? We'll do something different. Cool? Not sure what yet, but hey"

"Yeah, cool." He goes to get a drink.
