Post Scriptum - Adam and Piper return closer to an hour and a half, two hours later. Freshly showered. Adam.... EATS. True, his appetite was depressed just recently but he PLOWS through some food, thoroughly enjoying it; each bite is like a new revelation in flavor and texture. And he seems, mostly, to get along without too much angst or prickliness.
